Menapaki Gerak Perempuan Muslim di Era Modern (Analisis Wacana Perempuan di Institut Ibu Profesional)

Secara historis kehidupan perempuan kerap kali penuh pergulatan. Termasuk dalam fase menjadi seorang ibu rumah tangga. Perkembangan teknologi dan budaya pada praktiknya dapat mendorong munculnya gambaran ideal ibu rumah tangga yang lebih kompleks. Dengan menggunakan analisis wacana textual metafunction Halliday dan berdasar pada perspektif (post) feminisme, penelitian ini berupaya melihat bagaimana pengetahuan sosial tentang peranan ibu rumah tangga yang didasarkan pada narasi Islam diproduksi oleh objek kajian Institut Ibu Profesional melalui media baru sehingga mendatangkan kepercayaan dari para perempuan muslim. Penelitian ini juga mengeksplorasi usaha mahasiswi Institut Ibu Profesional dalam memaknai konsep ibu rumah tangga yang diwacanakan oleh pihak Institut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Institut Ibu Profesional tengah menciptakan citra baru perihal peran ibu rumah tangga dalam kerangka tradisional baru (neo-tradisionalisme) yang diperkuat dengan narasi Islam sebagai spiritualitas politik. Di balik narasi Islam modern yang diwacanakan bagi perempuan itu sejatinya mengabaikan nilai mendasar untuk transformasi feminisme. Sehingga dalam proses memaknai wacana tersebut, para mahasiswi mengalami beragam problematika yang diistilahkan oleh Angela McRobbie sebagai double entanglement, heterosexual and feminine melancholia, hingga normalized pathology akibat adanya status quo patriarki yang dibangkitkan kembali.

Historically, women's lives have often been full of struggles. Included in the phase of being a housewife. Technological and cultural developments in practice can encourage the emergence of a more complex ideal picture of housewives. By using Halliday's textual metafunction discourse analysis and based on (post) feminism perspective, this study aims to observe how social knowledge about the role of housewives based on Islamic narratives is produced by Institut Ibu Profesional through new media so as to gain trust from Muslim women. This study also explores the efforts of Institut Ibu Profesional students in interpreting the concept of housewives as discoursed by the Institute. The results of the study indicate that the Institut Ibu Profesional is creating a new image of the role of housewives in a new traditional framework (neo-traditionalism) which is strengthened by the narrative of Islam as political spirituality. Behind the modern Islamic concept offered for women actually ignores the fundamental value for the transformation of feminism. So that in the process of interpreting the discourse, female students experience various problems which are termed by Angela McRobbie as double entanglement, heterosexual and feminine melancholia, until normalized pathology aftermath of the resurrected patriarchal status quo.
