Pandemi virus corona telah meluluhlantakkan hampir sebagian sektor kehidupan manusia yang dimulai dari politik, ekonomi, sosial, budaya, ibadah, kesehatan, pertahanan dan keamanan baik secara global maupun nasional. Akibatnya, kondisi tidak bisa berjalan normal seperti biasanya. Dampak dari pandemi Covid-19 ini juga merambat kepada pertumbuhan ekonomi baik secara global maupun nasional yang mengalami tekanan, bahkan beberapa negara masuk ke dalam kategori resesi. Pada saat krisis seperti pandemi Covid-19 ini, terdapat perusahaan yang mampu bertahan karena diversifikasi usaha yang mereka lakukan. Berdasarkan penelitian sebelumnya, diversifikasi perusahaan ini berpengaruh terhadap kinerja perusahaan, dan juga terhadap risiko perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh dari diversifikasi usaha terhadap kinerja dan risiko perusahaan di perusahaan terbuka yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI), pada periode sebelum krisis (tahun 2019) dan pada saat krisis (tahun 2020). Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 549 perusahaan terbuka yang mempublikasikan laporan keuangannya di tahun 2019-2020. Metode analisis data yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian adalah regresi linear berganda. Dari hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa terdapat pengaruh dari diversifikasi usaha terhadap Kinerja dan Risiko Perusahaan, sebelum periode krisis maupun pada saat krisis. Namun, tidak terdapat efek moderasi dari Jenis Diversifikasi pada pengaruh dari Diversifikasi Usaha terhadap Kinerja dan Risiko Perusahaan tersebut.

The corona virus pandemic has devastated almost every aspect of human life, beginning with politics, economics, social, culture, worship, health, defense, and security on a global and national scale. As a result, conditions cannot be run normally. The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has also spread to global and national economic growth, which is under pressure, and some countries have even entered the recession category. In times of crisis, such as the Covid-19 pandemic, some businesses are able to survive due to business diversification. According to previous research, this company's diversification has an impact on its performance as well as its risk. The purpose of this research is to determine the impact of business diversification on the performance and risk of public companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) before (in 2019) and during the crisis (in 2020). This research looked at 549 public companies that released their financial statements in 2019- 2020. Multiple linear regression is the data analysis method used to test the research hypothesis. Based on this research�s findings, there is an effect of business diversification on the company's performance and risk, both before and during the crisis. However, the Type of Diversification has no moderating effect on the effect of Business Diversification on the Company's Performance and Risk.
