Petik Ngevent Petik dalam studi ini diartikan sebagai bentuk aktivitas pekerjaan yang porsi utamanya adalah mengatur sebuah event atau acara. Di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, ngevent merupakan hal yang sedang digandrungi pemuda untuk terlibat sebagai volunteer atau relawan dalam penyelenggaraan acara-acara seni dan kebudayaan yang berskala nasional hingga internasional. Istilah ini kemudian menjadi bahasa prokem di kalangan pemuda yang merepresentasikan eksistensi mereka dalam mencari pengalaman di luar kampus. Studi ini memotret antusiasme keterlibatan mahasiswa Universitas Gadjah Mada sebagai fenomena yang menarik untuk dikaji, khususnya dalam konteks bagaimana para pemuda ini menghadapi masa transisi dari fase belajar ke fase bekerja melalui student volunteering. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana pengalaman tersebut dimaknai melalui konstruksi terkait sudut pandang, motivasi, benefit hingga proses interaksi para informan dengan perspektif student volunteering dalam konteks pengalaman menjadi panitia event seni dan budaya di Yogyakarta saat masih berstatus menjadi mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi dengan kerangka teori reflexive identity yang disampaikan oleh Anthony Giddens sebagai pisau analisis untuk menjelaskan bagaimana proses sosial dan bagaimana konstruksi diri terhadap pengalaman tersebut. Temuan studi ini memperlihatkan bahwa pengalaman ini terbukti dapat meningkatkan diri sekaligus membantu membentuk nilai-nilai yang melekat pada identitas sebagai agen yang terus berproses dalam kehidupan sosial. Hal ini menjadi penting dengan melihat konteks masyarakat modernitas lanjut yang tak lepas dari resiko ketidakpastian, teori transisi pemuda oleh Furlong & Cartmel berkaitan dengan hal tersebut. Pada akhirnya, pengalaman tersebut dapat membantu pemuda meminimalisir resiko Petik ketidakpastian Petik dalam peralihan dunia pendidikan ke dunia kerja. Berbagai bentuk refleksif melalui ngevent dapat direfleksikan sekaligus menjadi temuan yang berfokus kepada bagaimana pemuda melewati fase transisi dari dunia pendidikan ke dunia kerja, proses yang didapat melalui pengalaman tersebut menjadikan pemuda lebih siap dalam menghadapi dan mempersiapkan masa depan. Petik Ngevent Petik in this study is defined as a form of work activity whose main portion is organizing an event. In the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Petik Ngevent Petik is something popular and liked a lot by young people that wanted to involved as a volunteers in arts and cultural events on national to international scale. This terms later became a slang among youths who represented their existence in seeking experiences outside of the campus. This study portrays the enthuasiasm of the involvement of Gadjah Mada University's students as an interesting phenomenon to study especially in the context of how these young people face the transition from the learing phase to the working phase through student volunteering. This paper aims to explain how the experience is interpreted through construction related to perspectives, motivations and benefits. This paper also explain the interaction process of the informant with the perspective of student volunteering in the context of the experience of being a committee of arts and cultural events in Yogyakarta while still being a student. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach with a theoretical framework of reflexive identity presented by Anthony Giddens as an analytical tool to explain how the social process and the self construction of the experience. The findings of this study show that this experience is proven to be self enhancing as well as helping to form the values that attached to identity as agents who continue to processed through social life. This becomes important by looking at the context of the advanced society which cannot be separated from the risk of uncertainty. The youth transition theory by Furlong and Cartmel is related to this. In the end, this experience can help youth minimize the risk of uncertainty in the transition from education to the world of work. Various forms of reflexivity through events can be reflected as well become a finding that focused on how young people go through the transition phase from education to the world of work. The process gained through these experiences makes young people become more prepared to face and prepare for the future.
