Analisis Pengaruh Pariwisata terhadap Pertumbuhan Ekonomi pada 20 Negara dengan Jumlah Kedatangan Wisatawan Mancanegara Tertinggi

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengembangan pariwisata terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi pada 20 negara dengan jumlah kedatangan wisatawan mancanegara tertinggi di dunia berdasarkan data World Bank dengan menggunakan fixed effect model data panel dan Granger causality test, pada periode waktu dari tahun 2004 hingga tahun 2018. Penelitian ini menggunakan data PDB riil per kapita, penerimaan pariwisata internasional per kapita, pembentukan modal tetap bruto (persentase dari PDB), angkatan kerja, rasio ekspor impor, indeks kebebasan ekonomi, dummy negara berpendapatan tinggi, dummy krisis, dan variabel interaksi. Hipotesis yang mendasari penelitian ini adalah tourism-led growth hypothesis (TLGH) dengan menggunakan pendekatan teori pertumbuhan Solow. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pariwisata mempengaruhi pertumbuhan ekonomi secara positif dan signifikan. Penerimaan pariwisata internasional per kapita memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan PDB riil per kapita.

The aims of this study was to determine the effect of tourism development on economic growth in 20 countries with the highest number of international tourist arrivals in the world based on World Bank data using the fixed effect panel data model and Granger causality test, in the time period from 2004 to 2018. This study uses data on real GDP per capita, international tourism receipts per capita, gross fixed capital formation (percentage of GDP), labor force, export-import ratio, economic freedom index, high-income country dummy, crisis dummy, and interaction variables. The hypothesis that underlies this research is the tourism-led growth hypothesis (TLGH) using the Solow growth theory approach. The results show that tourism affects economic growth positively and significantly. International tourism receipts per capita make a positive contribution to the increase in real GDP per capita.
