PERAN EFIKASI DIRI AKADEMIK DAN DUKUNGAN ORANG TUA TERHADAP STRES AKADEMIK MAHASISWA BARU DI MASA PANDEMI COVID-19

Perkuliahan secara daring di masa pandemi Covid-19 masih memiliki banyak kendala yang dihadapi oleh peserta didik terutama bagi mahasiswa baru. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui peran efikasi diri akademik dan dukungan orang tua terhadap stres akademik mahasiswa baru selama masa pandemi Covid-19. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei. Partisipan penelitian sebanyak 210 mahasiswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tiga skala, yaitu skala stres akademik, skala efikasi diri akademik, dan skala dukungan orang tua. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa efikasi diri akademik dan dukungan orang tua memliki pengaruh yang signifikan dan negatif terhadap stres akademik. Artinya semakin tinggi tingkat efikasi diri akademik dan dukungan orang tua dapat menurunkan stres akademik. Variabel efikasi diri akademik dan dukungan orang tua mampu berperan terhadap stres akademik sebesar 32%.

Online lectures during the Covid-19 pandemic have many obstacles, especially for new college students. This study conducted to determine the role of academic self-efficacy and parental support for the academic stress of new college students during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used is a quantitative method with a survey approach. The research participants were 210 students. Data collection uses three scales, namely the academic stress scale, the academic self-efficacy scale, and the parental support scale. The results showed that academic self-efficacy and parental support had a significant and negative effect on academic stress. This means that higher level of academic self-efficacy and parental support can reduce academic stress. Academic self-efficacy variables and parental support play a role in influencing academic stress by 32%.
