Adjective Types and Functions in Twenty Fashion Content Writing Published by Elle, Vogue, and InStyle Themed Fashion Trends and Sustainability

ABSTRAK Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis kata sifat yang terdapat dalam dua puluh penulisan konten fashion bertema Fashion Trends and Sustainability yang diterbitkan oleh tiga majalah fashion besar, yaitu Elle, Vogue, dan InStyle. Makalah ini juga memasukkan jenis kata sifat yang paling banyak dan paling sedikit digunakan dalam 20 penulisan konten mode tersebut. Penulis menggunakan sebelas jenis kata sifat yang bersumber dari Thesaurus.com sebagai batas penelitiannya tentang berapa banyak jenis kata sifat dalam bahasa Inggris. Temuan makalah ini sebagaimana dijelaskan lebih rinci oleh penulis dalam bab 3 adalah jenis kata sifat yang paling banyak digunakan dalam penulisan konten mode tentang Tren Mode dan Keberlanjutan oleh Elle, Vogue, dan InStyle adalah kata sifat artikel dan deskriptif. Sedangkan jenis kata sifat yang paling sedikit digunakan adalah kata sifat koordinatif atau koordinatif dan tepat. Kata sifat interogatif tidak ditemukan selama analisis penulis. Dalam total 1836 kata sifat, 694 kata adalah kata sifat artikel, 498 kata adalah kata sifat deskriptif, 119 kata adalah kata sifat posesif, 99 kata adalah kata sifat demonstratif, 93 kata adalah kata sifat majemuk, 90 kata adalah kata sifat tak tentu, 80 kata adalah kata sifat kuantitatif, 77 kata merupakan kata sifat predikat, 75 kata merupakan kata sifat koordinatif atau koordinatif, dan 11 kata merupakan kata sifat wajar.

ABSTRACT The aim of this paper is to find out what types of adjectives are in the twenty fashion content writing themed Fashion Trends and Sustainability published by three massive fashion magazines, which are Elle, Vogue, and InStyle. This paper also includes the most and the least used adjective types in those 20 fashion content writing. The author employs the eleven types of adjectives as sourced from Thesaurus.com as the boundary of her research in how many adjective types in the English language. The findings of this paper as explained in more detail by the author in chapter 3 are the most used adjective types used in fashion content writing regarding Fashion Trends and Sustainability by Elle, Vogue, and InStyle are article and descriptive adjectives. Whereas the least used adjective types are coordinate or coordinative and proper adjectives. Interrogative adjectives were not found during the author's analysis. In a total of 1836 adjective words, 694 words are article adjectives, 498 words are descriptive adjectives, 119 words are possessive adjectives, 99 words are demonstrative adjectives, 93 words are compound adjectives, 90 words are indefinite adjectives, 80 words are quantitative adjectives, 77 words are predicate adjectives, 75 words are coordinative or coordinate adjectives, and 11 words are proper adjectives.
