Menakar Ulang Gelora Aktivisme Mahasiswa: Produksi Pengetahuan dan Terbentuknya Jejaring Pergerakan (Studi Kasus Aksi #GejayanMemanggil di Yogyakarta)

Berbagai problematika di akhir tahun 2019, mendorong munculnya gerakan mahasiswa di berbagai daerah, salah satunya adalah Aksi #GejayanMemanggil. Sebuah gerakan sosial yang ditempuh melalui aksi demonstasi turun ke jalan, dan dipelopori oleh mahasiswa daribeberapa kampus di Yogyakarta. Kemunculan Aksi #GejayanMemanggil berhasil melibatkan ribuan orang dengan latar belakang dan identitas yang beragam, terlaksana secara tertib dan damai, serta mendapat respons dari publik yang cukup positif. Namun, realita yang dihidupi generasi muda hari ini, mereka dianggap apatis terhadap dinamika sosial-politik sebagai waga negara. Stigma tersebut cenderung tidak merekognisi eksistensi generasi pemuda, dan justru menegasikan generasi muda sebagai warga negara secara utuh.Studi ini berusaha menunjukkan bagaimana mahasiswa sebagai generasi muda, melakukan aktivisme politik kewargaan pada Aksi #GejayanMemanggil, sebagai bentuk kontribusinya sebagai warga negara. Studi ini dilakukan melalui pendekatan kualitatif dan menggunakan metode studi kasus.

Various problems at the end of 2019 have prompted the emergence of student movements in various regions, one of which isthe #GejayanMemanggilAction. A social movement that was pursued through demonstrations took to the streets, and was spearheaded by students from several campuses in Yogyakarta. Theemergence of the #GejayanMemanggilAction succeeded in involving thousands of people with diverse backgrounds and identities, carried out in an orderly and peaceful manner, and received a fairly positive response from the public. However, the reality of today's youth generation is that they are considered apathetic to the socio-political dynamics as state agents. This stigma tends not to recognize the existence of the youth generation, and instead negates the younger generation as citizens as a whole. This study seeks to show how students, as the younger generation, carry out civic political activism in the #GejayanMemanggilAction, as a form of contribution as citizens. This study was conducted through a qualitative approach and used a case study method.
