Mikul Dhuwur Mendhem Jero karya Tiyasti berbentuk cerita bersambung sebanyak dua belas episode yang dimuat dalam majalah mingguan berbahasa Jawa Djaka Lodang sejak 7 Januari � 1 April 2017. Mikul Dhuwur Mendhem Jero menjadi objek skripsi karena terdapat latar dan penokohan yang memengaruhi alur cerita. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menemukan bagaimana pengaruh latar dan penokohan terhadap alur cerita Mikul Dhuwur Mendhem Jero. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori strukturalisme Rober Stanton yang membagi fakta cerita menjadi alur, penokohan dan latar. Metode yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis data karya sastra. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan fakta cerita Mikul Dhuwur Mendhem Jero karya Tiyasti adalah sebagai berikut : (1) alur mengalir mengikuti interaksi tokoh protagonis dengan tokoh antagonis dan didukung oleh tokoh bawahan; (2) Latar cerita meliputi latar tempat, latar waktu, dan latar sosial yang nyata; (3) Alur mengikuti respon para tokoh menghadapi konflik yang muncul, latar tempat, latar waktu dan latar sosial memengaruhi penokohan/watak para tokoh. Latar pada Mikul Dhuwur Mendhem Jero karya Tiyasti di perumahan elit Yogyakarta tahun 1950 dan kehidupan masyarakat kelas menengah ke atas.

Mikul Dhuwur Mendhem Jero by Tiyasti is a series in Javanese consist at Djaka Lodang on Januari 7th until April 1st 2017. Mikul Dhuwur Mendhem Jero become the object of this thesis because there are background and characterizations that affect the story line. The research aims to find out how the setting and characterization influence the Mikul Dhuwur Mendhem Jero�s story line series. The results show that the facts of the story of Mikul Dhuwur Mendhem Jero by Tiyasti are as follows: (1) the flow flows following the interaction of the protagonist with the antagonist of the character and is supported by additional characters; (2) Background including place setting, time setting and real sosial background; (3) The plot following the responses of the characters in facing the conflicts that arise, the setting of the place, the time setting and the sosial background affect the character of the characters. The background in series Mikul Dhuwur Mendhem Jero by Tiyasti in the elite housing complex of Yogyakarta in 1950 and the life of the high class societies.
