Konsep Waktu Album Musik The Future Karya Leonard Cohen Dalam Tinjauan Fenomenologi Edmund Husserl

Penelitian ini bertujuan memaparkan konsep waktu dalam album musik The Future karya Leonard Cohen melalui analisis Fenomenologi Edmund Husserl. Penelitian ini akan menganalisis tiga lagu dari album The Future, yaitu The Future, Waiting for the Miracle, dan Anthem. Edmund Husserl menyediakan alat analisis untuk mengkaji makna tersebut, yaitu epoche, reduksi eidetis, dan reduksi fenomenologis. Epoche merupakan penundaan putusan terhadap teori-teori pengetahuan yang telah ada, yang dilakukan untuk meyaring elemen yang berubah-ubah dari suatu fenomena. Reduksi eidetis merupakan praktik analisis untuk mendapatkan esensi (eidos) dari suatu objek fenomena. Reduksi fenomenologis merupakan penyelidikan reflektif terhadap subjek. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan yang menggukan metode analisis interpretasi. Objek material penelitian adalah makna konsep waktu yang berasal dari komposisi musik dan lirik album The Future. Objek formal penelitian ini adalah Fenomenologi Edmund Husserl, khususnya epoche, reduksi eidetis, dan reduksi fenomenologis. Penelitian ini mengikuti tahapan inventarisasi, klasifikasi, analisis, penyusunan hasil, dan diolah menggunakan unsur metode filsafat yaitu, deskripsi dan interpretasi. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bagaimana konsep waktu yang terdapat dalam album The Future memberikan makna yang beragam. Melalui epoche dan metode reduksi ditemukan bahwa The Future menunjukkan masa lalu sebagai pijakan nilai reflektif terhadap masa depan. Selain itu dalam album The Future juga ditemukan pemaknaan subjek yang terjebak pada penantian tanpa ujung, serta rekognisi atas adanya harapan dalam sebuah permulaan.

This research aim to describe the concept of time in the album The Future by Leonard Cohen through the analysis of Edmund Husserl's Phenomenology. This research analyzes three songs from The Future album, namely The Future, Waiting for the Miracle, and Anthem. Edmund Husserl provides an analytical tool this study, namely epoche, eidetic redustion, and phenomenological reduction. Epoche is a suspension of judgemnet of existing theories of knowledge, that uses to filter out the contingent elements from the natural meaning and open the possibility to operate the three reductions methods. Eidetic reduction is an analytical practice to discover the essense (eidos) of an object of phenomena. Phenomenological reduction is a reflective inquiry towards subject. This research is a literature study that uses interpretaion method analisys. The subject matter of this research is the concept of time from the musical composition and lyrics of The Future. The formal object of this research is Edmund Husserl's Phenomenology, in particular epoche, eidetic reduction, and phenomenological reduction. This research follows steps such as: inventory, classification, analysis, and result compilation, and processed with several philosophical methods and techniques such as description and interpretation. This research will show how the concept of time in The Future gives a variety of meanings. Through epoche and the reduction method, it was found that The Future shows the past time as a reflective value for the future. In addition, in the album The Future is also found the inclusion of subjects caught in endless waiting, and the recognition of the presence of hope in a beginning.
