THE PROCESS OF DISSEMINATING INFORMATION OF GOVERNMENT ACTIVITES IN ONLINE MEDIA DONE BY PUBLIC RELATIONS DIVISION OF PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OF THE SPECIAL REGION OF YOGYAKARTA

Tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk membahas profil Divisi Humas Pemerintah Daerah Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, dan proses menyebarkan informasi aktivitas pemerintah di media online yang dilakukan oleh Divisi Humas Pemerintah Daerah Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Penulis menggunakan beberapa metode untuk mengumpulkan data. Metode pertama adalah observasi menjadi partisipan langsung melalui program magang di Divisi Humas Pemerintah Daerah Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta selama dua bulan. Metode kedua adalah melakukan wawancara dengan staf dan kepala divisi Humas. Metode ketiga adalah melakukan pengambilan dokumentasi saat observasi. Penulis juga menggabungkan teori dari beberapa buku, artikel, dan jurnal. Data yang didapatkan dianalisis menggunakan metode kualitatif dan disajikan secara deskriptif. Divisi Humas Pemerintah Daerah Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta sebagai humas pemerintah dalam melaksanakan penyebaran informasi kegiatan pemerintah. Penyebaran informasi dilakukan melalui media online, antara lain website, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. Proses penyebaran informasi kegiatan pemerintah dalam media online dimulai dari menyusun tim reportase, reportase, wawancara, mengumpulkan data, menulis berita, mengedit, dan mempublikasikan berita ke laman dan sosial media resmi Pemerintah Daerah Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Laman resmi pemerintah befungsi sebagai tempat pertama untuk mempublikasikan dan mengakomodasi berita versi penuh terkait pejabat publik dan media sosial sebagai tempat kedua untuk mempublikasi ulang berita dari laman pemerintah.

This final paper aims to discuss the profile of Public Relations Division of Provincial Government of Special Region of Yogyakarta, as well as the process of disseminating information of government activities in online media done by Public Relations Division of Provincial Government of Special Region of Yogyakarta. The writer uses several methods for collecting data. The first method is to become direct participant observation through an internship program in Public Relations Division of Provincial Government of Special Region of Yogyakarta for two months. The second method is interviews with the staff and heads of Public Relations Division. The third method is to take documentation during observation. The writer also combined theories from several books, articles, and journals. The data obtained were analyzed using qualitative method and presented descriptively. Public Relations Division of Provincial Government of Special Region of Yogyakarta as a government public relations in conducting information dissemination of government activities. The information dissemination is conducted through online media, such as website, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. The process of disseminating information of government activties in online media starting from arranging reportage team, reporting, interview, collecting data, writing news, editing, and publishing news to the Provincial Government of Special Region of Yogyakarta official website and social media. The government official website serves as the very first place to publish and accommodate the full version of news related the public officials and social media is the second place to republish news from the website.
