Self-Efficacy Mahasiswa Profesi Keperawatan Dalam Menghadapi Pasien Rawat Inap Di RSUP Dr. Sardjito

Latar Belakang: Pendidikan profesi keperawatan merupakan tahapan lanjutan setelah peserta didik dinyatakan lulus. Pada tahap ini mahasiswa menerapkan ilmunya yang telah didapatkan selama tahap perkuliahan kepada pasien secara langsung. Self-efficacy menjadi salah satu kemampuan interpersonal yang perlu diketahui, karena dapat menjadi indikator untuk memprediksi kinerja mahasiswa profesi. Tujuan Penelitian: Untuk mengetahui gambaran self-efficacy mahasiswa profesi keperawatan dalam menghadapi pasien. Metode: Penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan rancangan cross-sectional. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa profesi PSIK FK-KMK UGM. Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik total sampling dengan jumlah responden 91 mahasiswa. Pengambilan data menggunakan instrumen General Self Efficacy. Hasil: Didapatkan hasil self-efficacy mahasiswa profesi keperawatan cenderung tinggi yaitu 40,18 karena mendekati nilai maksimum yaitu 50. Self-efficacy terendah adalah tetap pada tujuan dan mencapai tujuan saya dengan mean ± SD (3,79 ± 0,69) serta dapat mengatasi apapun dalam dirinya dengan mean ± SD (3,79 ± 0,62), sedangkan item self-efficacy tertinggi terletak pada dapat menyelesaikan sebagian besar masalah apabila berusaha sungguh-sunguh dengan mean ± SD (4,43 ± 0,60). Kesimpulan: Self-Efficacy mahasiswa profesi keperawatan mendekati nilai maksimum. Self-efficacy terendah untuk tetap pada tujuan dan mencapai tujuan saya serta dapat mengatasi apapun dalam dirinya, sedangkan self-efficacy tertinggi terletak pada dapat menyelesaikan sebagian besar masalah apabila berusaha sungguh-sunguh.

Background: Clinical rotation is an advanced stage after nursing student are graduated, at this stage nursing student aplly their knowledge from academic stage to patients directly. Self-efficacy is one of the interpersonal skills needs to be known, it can be an indicator to predict the performance of nursing student in clinical rotation. Objective: To describe nursing students’ self-efficacy in facing patients during clinical rotation phase. Methods: This study was a quantitative descriptive with a cross-sectional design. The population in this study were nursing student in clinical rotation phase Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing, Universitas Gadjah Mada. This research involved 91 nursing students. Data collection was done using General Self-Efficacy. Result: The results showed self-efficacy of nursing student in clinical rotation approached the maximum value, which was 40,18 from a maximum value 50. The lowest self-efficacy are stick to aims and accomplish goals with mean ± SD (3,79 ± 0,69) and can usually handle whatever comes on way with mean ± SD (3,79 ± 0,62), while the highest self-efficacy is can always manage to solve difficult problems if try hard enough with mean ± SD (4,43 ± 0,60). Conclusion: The self-efficacy of nursing students in facing with patients in this study approached the maximum value.
