Studi ini merupakan studi yang akan mengkaji mengenai tiga wajah partai politik. Dimana dalam studi akan menggunakan Partai Persatuan Pembangunan (PPP) di Kabupaten Bantul sebagai studi kasus dalam kajian kali ini. Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) dalam masa Pemilu dapat dikatakan sebagai provinsi yang sangat sibuk dan menjadi provinsi yang menarik dalam menghadapi hajatan lima tahunan tersebut. Dalam konteks politik jalanann, PPP di DIY merupakan partai politik yang bisa dikatakan merupakan partai politik yang besar, tak terkecuali di Kabupaten Bantul. Kehadiran massa kampanye yang sangat luar biasa, bendera-bendera / identitas partai PPP menghiasi hampir seluruh jalanan yang ada di Kabupaten Bantul. Namun, dalam hasil pemilu seringkali PPP Kabupaten Bantul mengalami hasil yang berbanding terbalik daripada politik jalanan yang sangat luar biasa tersebut. Bahkan, dalam Pemilu serentak 2019, jumlah kursi DPRD Kabupaten Bantul dari PPP sendiri mengalami penurunan sebanyak 50%. Dimana pada masa bakti 2014-2019 jumlah anggota DPRD Kabupaten PPP berjumlah 4 (empat) kursi, sedangkan dari hasil Pemilu serentak 2019 hanya mampu menghasilkan 2 (dua) kursi. Oleh karena itu, kajian ini akan menggunakan konsep dari Katz dan Mair yaitu Tiga Wajah Partai Politik dalam melihat studi tersebut. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana peran tiga wajah partai politik dari PPP Kabupaten Bantul mengenai menurunnya jumlah perolehan kursi PPP Kabupaten Bantul dalam Pemilu serentak 2019 di Kabupaten Bantul. Pada kajian ini akan diuraikan apa saja yang menjadi tiga wajah partai politik dari PPP Kabupaten Bantul sendiri. Tiga wajah partai politik yaitu party in public office, party in the central office, dan party on the ground dalam konteks PPP Kabupaten Bantul akan dibahas dalam kajian ini. Selanjutnya kajian ini akan melihat mengapa / faktor apa saja yang membuat jumlah perolehan kursi PPP di Kabupaten Bantul mengalami penurunan yang cukup signifikan. Dalam menjalankan kajian ini, kajian melibatkan berbagai aktor politik dalam tubuh PPP Kabupaten Bantul hingga Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) baik dari elit-elit partai itu sendiri hingga akar rumput yang menjadi tombak kesuksesan dari sebuah partai politik. Kajian ini memperoleh temuan dimana terdapat beberapa isian yang menggambarkan tiga wajah partai di PPP Kabupaten Bantul. Dengan menggunakan persamaan dalam film alif, lam,dan mim pada mitologi film alif,lam,mim karya Anggi Umbara, kajian ini menemukan beberapa fakta. Dalam masing-masing wajah dengan pemadaan terhadap film tersebut adalah masing-masing wajah mempunyai peranannya masing-masing. Kesimpulan dari kajian ini sendiri adalah dalam tiga wajah partai politik ketiga wajah haruslah seimbang. Sedangkan dalam kajian ini ada terdapat ketidakseimbangan dalam tiga wajah partai politik yang ada. Dimana PPP Kabupaten Bantul berhasil dalam wajah mim (party on the ground) berkat dari keberhasilan pengelolaan dalam wajah alif (Party in public office). Sedangkan dalam wajah lam (party in the central office) PPP Kabupaten Bantul mengalami kelemahan yang menyebabkan terjadi ketidak seimbangan tiga wajah yang ada. Selain itu, implementasi dalam lapangan juga mempunyai pengaruh dalam menurutunnya jumla perolehan kursi PPP. Dengan begitu, peranan dari tiga wajah partai politik sangatlah penting bagi partai politik untuk mencapai kemenangan dalam proses Pemilu yang ada. Jika terdapat ketidak seimbangan, dalam hal ini adalah party in central office yang mengalami banyak permasalahan. Maka, menurunnya jumlah kursi PPP di Kabupaten Bantul disebabkan oleh adanya hal tersebut.

This study will examine the three faces of political parties. In this study, the researcher will use Partai Persatuan Pembangunan (PPP) in Bantul Regency as a case study. During the election period, Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) can be said to be a very busy and an attractive province in facing the five-year celebration. In the context of street politics, PPP in DIY can be said to be a large political party, not least in Bantul Regency. The extraordinary mass of the campaign and the flags/ identities of the PPP party adorned almost all the streets in Bantul Regency. However, the PPP of Bantul Regency in elections often experienced inversely proportional results to the extraordinary street politics. In fact, in the 2019 simultaneous elections, the number of Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) seats in Bantul Regency from PPP itself decreased by 50%. Where in the 2014-2019 service period, the number of Regency DPRD members from PPP amounted to four seats, whereas the results of the 2019 simultaneous elections were only able to produce two seats. Hence, this study will use the concept of Katz and Mair, namely the Three Faces of Political Parties. This study aims to examine how the role of three faces of political parties from the PPP of Bantul Regency regarding the decreasing number of PPP seat acquisition in the 2019 simultaneous elections in Bantul Regency. In this study, what will be discussed are the three faces of political parties from PPP of Bantul Regency itself. Three faces of political parties namely party in public office, party in the central office, and party on the ground, in the context of PPP of Bantul Regency. Furthermore, this study will examine why or what factors make the number of PPP seat acquisition in Bantul Regency a quite significant decrease. This study involved various political actors from the PPP of Bantul Regency up to the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) both from the party elites themselves to the grassroots who became the the spear of success of a political party. This study found several entries describing the three faces of party in the PPP of Bantul Regency. By using the similarities of alif, lam, and mim movie in mythology of the alif,lam,mim movie by Anggi Umbara, this study found several facts. In the correlation of the movie, each face has its respective roles. In conclusion, in the three faces of political parties, the three faces must be balanced. Meanwhile, there are imbalances in the three faces of existing political parties in this study. In which PPP of Bantul Regency succeeded in the mim face (party on the ground) because of the success of management in the alif face (party in public office). Whereas, in the lam face (party in the central office) the PPP of Bantul Regency experienced weaknesses that caused an imbalance in the three faces. Besides, implementation in the field also affected the decreasing number of PPP seat acquisition. Therefore, the role of the three faces of political parties is crucial for political parties to achieve victory in the existing election process. If there is an imbalance, it means that the party in the central office experiencing a lot of problems. Thus, the decrease in the number of PPP seat acquisition in Bantul Regency was caused by as mentioned.
