PENGARUH TINGKAT IMPLEMENTASI AGILE PROJECT MANAGEMENT TERHADAP KINERJA STARTUP DI INDONESIA DENGAN MODERASI KOMPLEKSITAS PROYEK

Perkembangan berdirinya startup khususnya project-based startup di Indonesia memiliki kontribusi yang besar terhadap pembukaan lapangan kerja baru dengan penyerapan tenaga kerja. Perkembangan startup tidak lepas dari kedinamisan dan ketidakpastian tren yang ada di masyarakat. Pada perusahaan startup baru yang berbasis proyek, pemenuhan project delivery yang cepat dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan klien merupakan hal yang penting. Banyak klaim yang menyatakan bahwa adopsi agile project management sebagai strategi yang tepat dalam mendukung pengembangan startup mendukung pencapaian kinerja perusahaan yang baik. Namun dalam mencapai kinerja yang baik, banyak faktor yang dapat menjadi tantangan yang harus dihadapi oleh tim. Seperti kompleksitas, yang merupakan tantangan yang muncul selama eksekusi proyek-proyek dalam perusahaan berlangsung. Oleh karena itu, kompleksitas diduga dapat mempengaruhi strategi yang diterapkan oleh perusahaan dengan adanya efek moderasi di dalamnya. Penelitian yang meneliti hubungan antara tingkat implementasi agile project management dengan kinerja perusahaan ini merupakan sebuah kelanjutan dari penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya, dengan menambahkan efek moderasi kompleksitas proyek di dalamnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen berupa kuesioner yang diadaptasi dari penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya untuk melaksanakan survei yang bersifat cross-sectional. Melalui metode purposive sampling, kuesioner dikirimkan kepada 154 startup yang tersebar di seluruh Indonesia, dengan balasan sebanyak 97 startup yang tersebar di Indonesia dengan response rate sebesar 62,9%. Penelitian ini menggunakan Moderated Regression Analysis sebagai metode statistika multivariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa data empiris mendukung hipotesis pertama dan sesuai dengan penelitian sebelumnya yaitu implementasi agile project management berhubungan signifikan dengan kinerja perusahaan. Akan tetapi juga diperoleh bahwa hipotesis kedua tertolak, yaitu moderasi kompleksitas proyek ternyata tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hubungan tingkat implementasi agile project management dengan kinerja perusahaan.

Increasing number of startups, especially project-based startups in Indonesia, has contributed greatly to the opening of new jobs by employment. The development of startups cannot be separated from the dynamism and uncertainty of existing trends in society. In a new startup company based on the project, the fulfillment of a fast project delivery and in accordance with client needs is important. Many claims that the adoption of agile project management as an appropriate strategy in supporting the development of startups supports the achievement of good company performance. In achieving good performance, many factors can be challenges that must be addressed by the team. Such complexity, which is a challenge that arises during the execution of projects in the company in progress. Therefore, complexity can affect the strategy adopted by the company with the moderation effect in it. This research is a continuation of previous studies, by adding a moderating effect to the complexity of the project in it. This study used an instrument in the form of a questionnaire that was adapted from previous studies to carry out a cross-sectional survey. Through the purposive sampling method, questionnaires were sent to 154 startups spread throughout Indonesia, with replies as many as 97 startups accross Indonesia with a response rate of 62.9%. This study uses Moderated Regression Analysis as a multivariate statistical method. The results showed that the results of the analysis support the first hypothesis and in accordance with previous research, namely the implementation of agile project management significantly related to company performance. However, it was also found that the second hypothesis was rejected, namely moderation of project complexity did not significantly influence the relationship between the level of implementation of agile project management with company performance.
