Penelitian berjudul Tokoh Alisa dalam Film Sundel Bolong Karya Sisworo Gautama Putra dalam perspektif monstrous feminine dilatarbelakangi oleh ketertarikan peneliti pada bidang seni khususnya film dengan tema feminisme. Film yang dijadikan objek materi dalam penelitian ini adalah film Sundel Bolong. Penelitian bertitik tolak pada pertama, persoalan patriarki yang ditunjukkan dalam film Sundel Bolong dan khususnya Alisa sebagai tokoh utama. Kedua, tentang konsep monstrous feminine yang menjadi inti dari pemikiran Barbara Creed. Penelitian bertujuan menelaah persoalan fundamental yang berkaitan dengan ketidakadilan gender pada cerita film dan pemahaman feminis film Sundel Bolong dengan perspektif monstrous feminine Barbara Creed. Penelitian ini menggunakan kajian kualitatif melalui studi pustaka. Metode yang digunakan untuk menganalisa penelitian ini menggunakan hermenutika filosofis dengan unsur metodis deskripsi, interpretasi dan heuristika. Penggunaan unsur metodis filosofis tersebut didasarkan atas permasalahan yang ada dan sebagai alat untuk mencari jawaban atas masalah yang ada pada rumusan masalah. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan pertama, konflik ketidakadilan gender yang terjadi pada tokoh Alisa dalam film Sundel Bolong yang digambarkan oleh hampir setiap aspek kehidupan pada era tersebut. Kedua, konsep Barbara Creed tentang Monstrous Feminine digambarkan oleh Alisa sebagai sundel bolong dalam membalaskan dendamnya pada budaya patriarki yang menghancurkannya. Dengan menjadikannya monstrous feminine barulah ia mendapatkan kekuatannya yaitu dengan menjadi sundel bolong.

This research titled The Character Alisa in Sundel Bolong Film by Sisworo Gautama Putra with monstrous feminine point of view by Barbara Creed is based on the researcher interests towards arts, specifically film with feminism theme. The Film which is used as the material object in this research is Sundel Bolong movie. The research is grounded on first, the problem of patriarchy where it showed in Sundel Bolong movie and specifically Alisa as the protagonist. The second is about the concept of monstrous feminine in which being the core of Barbara Creed's idea. The research purposes to examine the fundamental problem that corelates with the injustice notion of gender in the story of the movie and the understanding of Sundel Bolong movie with Barbara Creed's monstrous feminine perspective. This research uses qualitative method with literature studies. The method of analysis in this research is philosophical hermeneutics with methodical elements description, interpretation and heuristics. The use of those philosophical methodic elements is based on the problem which is shown and as the tools to find the answer for the problem that has been explained on the formulated problem. The result of this research is to explain first, the conflict of gender inequality that happened to Alisa character in Sundel Bolong movie which is shown by almost every aspect in that era. The second is Barbara Creed's concept about Monstrous Feminine that is shown by Alisa as sundel bolong on its way to get the revenge from the patriarchal culture that destroying her. By becoming the monstrous feminine, then she gets her power by being sundel bolong.
