POST-KONTESTASI NAHDLATUL ULAMA DAN MUHAMMADIYAH Refleksi atas Praktik Sosial Berdemokrasi di Indonesia

Tulisan ini menelaah kontestasi antara Nahdlatul Ulama dan Muhammadiyah dalam kendalinya terhadap kebijakan Hari Santri Nasional, Lima Hari Sekolah dan Perppu Ormas, melalui instrumen representatif-terkini dua kelompok, yaitu NU Online dan Suara Muhammadiyah. Dengan pendalaman terhadap teks dan praktik wacananya, tulisan ini menemukan bahwa di satu sisi kedua kelompok memang memperjuangkan substansi, namun di sisi yang lain, kedua kelompok juga masih menempuh tantangan-tantangan dalam proses instrumentasinya. Penemuan ini juga dapat merefleksikan tentang praktik sosial berdemokrasi di Indonesia, bahwa jangan-jangan kedua kelompok sedang menjalankan strategi berdemokrasinya sendiri, yaitu instrumentasi jalan, namun substansi juga jalan.

This paper examines the contestation between Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah in its control of the Hari Santri Nasional, Lima Hari Sekolah, and Perppu Ormas policies, through the latest-representative instruments of the two groups; the online media of two groups; NU Online and Suara Muhammadiyah. With a deepening of the text and the discourse practice, this paper found that on the one hand, both groups did fight for the substance, but on the other hand, the two groups also still faced challenges in the instrumentation of the substance process. This finding can also reflect on the social practice of democracy in Indonesia, that perhaps the two groups are implementing their own democratic strategy.
