PANDANGAN DUNIA DALAM NOVEL TIBA SEBELUM BERANGKAT KARYA FAISAL ODDANG: ANALISIS STRUKTURALISME GENETIK LUCIEN GOLDMANN

INTISARI Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap pandangan dunia pengarang dalam novel Tiba Sebelum Beirangkat. Novel Tiba Sebelum Berangkat bercerita mengenai seorang hero problematik yang berjuang dalam dunianya yang terdegradasi di Sulawesi Selatan. Problematika tokoh hero dapat ditemukan dalam novel melalui pertentangan-pertentangannya terhadap berbagai diskriminasi Bissu di Sulawesi Selatan. Novel Tiba Sebelum Berangkat dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan Strukturalisme Genetik Lucien Goldmann. Strukturalisme Genetik menganggap karya sastra, termasuk novel, sebagai struktur yang terbentuk dari hasil proses sejarah yang berlangsung terus-menerus Hal tersebut membuat struktur novel tidaklah statis. Struktur novel menurut Lucien Goldmann berpusat pada relasi antartokoh dan relasi tokoh dengan objek sekitar. Pandangan dunia pengarang lahir melalui mediasi antara struktur novel dengan struktur sosialnya, sehingga peran kelompok sosial pengarang, yang kemudian berpengaruh pada ideologi yang ditemukan dalam cerita, sangat dibutuhkan untuk analisis novel ini. Hasil analisis terhadap struktur novel Tiba Sebelum Berangkat menunjukkan keberpihakan pengarang terhadap niai-nilai kebudayaan, tradisionalisme, kejujuran, humanisme, dan toleransi. Nilai-nilai tersebut berhomolog dengan struktur sosial pembangun novel Tiba Sebelum Berangkat. Melalui analisis tersebut, dapat dikatakan bahwa pandangan dunia pengarang adalah humanisme religius. Ideologi humanisme didapatkan pengarang melalui kelompok sosialnya yang adalah lingkungan Bugis. Sedangkan nilai-nilai religiusitas ia dapatkan melalui pengalaman tumbuh kembang bersama keluarganya sejak kecil hingga dewasa. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode dialektik. Metode dialektik menurut Goldmann mengukuhkan perihal tidak pernah adanya titik awal yang secara mutlak sahih, serta tidak adanya persoalan yang secara final dan pasti terpecahkan. Oleh sebab itu, proses pencapaian analisis dianggap tidak bergerak lurus ketika menggunakan metode dialektik. Kata kunci: humanisme religius, pandangan dunia, strukturalisme genetik.

ABSTRACT This study attempted to reveal the worldview of the author in novel entitled Tiba Sebelum Berangkat. This novel tells about a problematic hero who struggling in his degraded world in Sulawesi Selatan. The hero's problem can be found in every conflict of Bissu's discrimination in Sulawesi Selatan. Lucien Goldmann's genetic structuralism theory employed to analyze the Tiba Sebelum Berangkat. Genetic structuralism believes that literary work, such as novel, is a structure that formed by the product of ongoing historical process. Based on such case, novel structure is not static. According to Lucien Goldman, a novel's structure is centered on the relation among the characters and the relation of the characters with their surroundings object. The author's worldview is created through the mediation between the novel's structure and the social structure. Therefore, the author's social background, which influence the ideology of the story, was considered important to analyze the novel. The analysis of the Tiba Sebelum Berangkat's structure found that the author takes sides on the cultural values, traditionalism, integrity, humanism, and tolerance. These values were homologous with the social structure in the construction of Tiba Sebelum Berangkat. By analyzing the novel, it can be concluded that the author's worldview was religious humanism. Such ideology was influencing the author through his social background, which is Bugis. Furthermore, the author acquired those religious values from the growing up experience with his family from early childhood until adulthood. The method used in this study is dialectic method. According to Goldman, dialectic method insists the absence of absolute starting point. This method also believes that there is no finality in problem solving. Thus, in employing the dialectic method, it is considered that there is no organized phase in the analyzing process. Keywords: religious humanism, worldview, social group, genetic structuralism
