Perancangan Sistem Dasbor Student Performance Data berbasis REST API

Pengolahan data merupakan salah satu proses penting dalam suatu organisasi sebagai dasar pengambilan keputusan, Salah satu penggunaan pengolahan data sebagai dasar evaluasi dapat ditemui di perguruan tinggi, sebagai contoh Departemen Teknik Elektro Teknologi Informasi. Dalam melakukan evaluasi hasil pembelajaran mahasiswa untuk mencapai target organisasi yang ditentukan, DTETI mengumpulkan data hasil belajar mahasiswa dalam sebelas aspek yang disebut dengan Student Outcomes (SO). Penyajian data Student Outcomes (SO) yang dilakukan oleh DTETI saat ini masih berbasis pelaporan secara manual, sehingga pembuatan report masih harus dilakukan secara manual dan hasil report yang dihasilkan berupa data tanpa visualisasi. Oleh karena itu, melalui penelitian ini dilakukan perancangan dasbor visualisasi berbasis REST API untuk untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut. Penggunaan REST API sebagai proses pengolahan data dapat mengeliminasi proses manual untuk mengubah data menjadi informasi, sementara dasbor visualisasi terbukti mempermudah pengguna memahami data Student Outcomes seperti yang telah ditunjukan pada pengujian SUS (System Usability Scale) yang dilakukan.

Electrical Engineering and Information Engineering (EEIE) Department Universitas Gadjah Mada utilize the Student Outcomes data to be analyzed and reach the organization goals, meeting ABET standards. However, the data management and process flow inside EEIE Department Universitas Gadjah Mada is not quite effective in handling the student outcomes unstructured data source, since the ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) was still rely on manual process and there was no visual output of the information. This research aims to develop new data-to-information system that process the Student Outcomes unstructured data through the ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) process and display its result through data visualization dashboard. The system that is produced is in the form of an REST API to handle the ETL process that was developed using NodeJS and a Microsoft PowerBI dashboard of visualization consisting of two pages, namely the dashboard of Academic Year Student Outcomes Data, and Student Report Student Outcomes Data, both are accompanied by descriptive analysis. Based on the tests, the results show that all system functions can run properly.
