Tugas Akhir yang berjudul Perencanaan Records Center di Dinas Perhubungan Provinsi DIY merupakan hasil dari pengumpulan data selama masa Praktik Kerja Lapangan yang telah dilaksanakan. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menentukan perencanaan pembuatan records center bagi Dinas Perhubungan Provinsi DIY yang dapat digunakan sebagai tempat penyimpanan arsip inaktif, sehingga dapat tercipta peran records center sebagai tempat penyimpanan dan penyedia informasi bagi organisasi. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi partisipatif, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Metode observasi partisipatif dilakukan dengan cara ikut serta secara langsung dalam kegiatan pengolahan arsip inaktif dan melakukan pengamatan terhadap pemanfaatan records center. Metode wawancara dilakukan dengan cara tanya jawab kepada narasumber yang terlibat agar penulis dapat mendapatkan data yang lebih detail mengenai kebutuhan dan pemanfaatan records center. Metode studi pustaka dilakukan untuk mendapatkan bahan-bahan dan teori yang lebih mendalam mengenai records center. Perencanaan records center yang baru akan memanfaatkan ruang yang sudah ada yaitu di lantai 3 gedung Dinas Perhubungan Provinsi DIY dengan didesain sedemikian rupa sebagai tempat penyimpanan arsip inaktif. Dalam melakukan perencanaan records center masih banyak ditemukan kendala seperti kurangnya kesadaran akan pentingnya arsip oleh pegawai sehingga mengakibatkan pengolahan arsip yang kurang optimal.

The Final Paper, entitled Records Center Planning at Dinas Perhubungan Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, is the result of data collection during the Field Work Practice that has been carried out. This study aims to determine the planning of building a record center for the Dinas Perhubungan Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta that can be used as a place for storing inactive records, so that the role of records center can be created as a storage and information provider for the organization. The methods used in this research are participant observation, interviews, and literature. The method of participatory observation is carried out by directly participating in the processing of inactive records and observing the use of records centers. The interview method is conducted by means of question and answer to the interviewees involved so that the writer can get more detailed data regarding the needs and utilization of the records center. The literature study method is carried out to obtain materials and a more in-depth theory regarding records centers. The new records center planning will utilize the existing space, which is on the 3rd floor of the Dinas Perhubungan Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta building, designed in such a way as an inactive storage. In carrying out records center planning, many obstacles were found, such as lack of awareness of the importance of records by employees, resulting in suboptimal processing of records.
