PUSAT KEGIATAN MASYARAKAT DI KAWASAN EKOWISATA PERBUKITAN MENOREH DENGAN PENDEKATAN EKO-ARSITEKTUR

Pariwisata adalah sektor yang sangat menjanjikan untuk mewujudkan kesejahteraan negara Republik Indonesia. Pariwisata berpotensi menguatkan investasi ekonomi swasta, menciptakan lapangan kerja, menambah ekspor, dan memandu investasi infrastruktur. Merujuk pada World Travel and Tourism Council, World Bank menyebut setiap USD 1 juta yang dibelanjakan untuk sektor travel dan pariwisata, bisa mendukung 200 lapangan kerja dan USD 1,7 juta PDB bagi Indonesia. Penilaian Bank Dunia itu sejalan dengan gagasan Menpar Arief Yahya yang mengatakan bahwa investasi di pariwisata itu multiplying effect-nya paling dahsyat. Kulon Progo adalah sebuah kabupaten di Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Di Perbukitan Menoreh terdapat banyak potensi-potensi wisata alam yang belum optimal dikembangkan menjadi objek wisata andalan Kulon Progo. Sebagian potensi alam sudah dikembangkan secara swadaya oleh masyarakat dan menjadi primadona wisata di Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Seperti halnya Kalibiru, Taman Sungai Mudal, Kebun The Nglinggo, dan Air Terjun Curug Sidoharjo. Kulon Progo masih terus berbenah, terutama di sektor pariwisata. Salah satunya, lewat pembangunan Bandara Internasional (New Yogyakarta International Airport) yang akan menjadi pintu gerbang bagi wisatawan mancanegara (wisman) untuk datang ke Yogyakarta. Oleh karena itu pengembangan fasilitas publik untuk masyarakat sekaligus pengembangan Potensi Eko-Wisata di Kawasan Perbukitan Menjadi penting untuk direncanakan demi kebaikan masyarakat luas dan juga kesejahteraannya. Kolaborasi antara Alam, Budaya, dan Pariwisata akan menjadi prioritas pengembangan bangunan Community center ini. Ruang publik untuk semua elemen masyarakat, eko-wisata untuk kesejahteraan rakyat Menoreh, dan alam Kulon Progo yang indah lestari.

Tourism is a very promising sector to realize the welfare of the Republic of Indonesia. Tourism has the potential to strengthen private economic investment, create jobs, increase exports, and guide infrastructure investment. Referring to the World Travel and Tourism Council, the World Bank said that every USD 1 million spent on the travel and tourism sector could support 200 jobs and USD 1.7 million GDP for Indonesia. The World Bank assessment was in line with the idea of Menpar Arief Yahya who said that investment in tourism was the most powerful multiplying effect. Kulon Progo is a district in the Special Province of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. In the Menoreh Hills there are many natural tourism potentials that have not been optimally developed to become the main tourist attraction of Kulon Progo. Some of the natural potential has been developed independently by the community and has become a prime tourist destination in Kulon Progo Regency. Like Kalibiru, Sungai Mudal Park, The Nglinggo Garden, and Sidoharjo Waterfall. Kulon Progo is still improving, especially in the tourism sector. One of them is through the construction of an International Airport (New Yogyakarta International Airport) which will be a gateway for foreign tourists (tourists) to come to Yogyakarta. Therefore the development of public facilities for the community as well as the development of the Eco-Tourism Potential in the Hills Region becomes important to plan for the good of the wider community and also their welfare. Collaboration between Nature, Culture and Tourism will be a priority for the development of this Community center building. Public space for all elements of society, eco-tourism for the welfare of the Menoreh people, and the nature of Kulon Progo that is beautifully sustainable.
