PREFERENSI TENAGA PENDIDIK MILENIAL UNIVERSITAS GADJAH MADA DALAM MEMILIH PERUMAHAN

Permintaan akan perumahan perkotaan terus bertambah seiring bertambahnya jumlah penduduk. Namun, milenial sebagai kelompok umur dominan di masa yang akan datang sampai saat ini masih sulit untuk mendapatkan rumah. Tenaga pendidik sebagai salah satu profesi bagi generasi milenial di Kota Yogyakarta tidak lepas dari permasalahan dalam memperoleh perumahan. Untuk itu, perlu diketahui preferensi tenaga pendidik milenial dalam memilih perumahan untuk mengetahui arah pembangunan kota di masa mendatang. Penelitian ini dilakukan di lingkungan kampus Universitas Gadjah Mada. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui preferensi tenaga pendidik milenial dalam memilih perumahan, sehingga dapat membuka potensi baru dalam perencanaan perumahan yang sesuai keinginan masyarakat. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kuisioner online yang bersifat terbuka (open-ended). Penentuan responden menggunakan metode convenience sampling atau accidental sampling. Jumlah responden yang digunakan adalah 45 tenaga pendidik milenial Universitas Gadjah Mada. Analisis data menggunakan tabulasi silang dengan analisis chi-square. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa karakteristik generasi milenial tidak terlalu berpengaruh terhadap preferensi perumahan tenaga pendidik milenial. Melainkan, nature dari profesi tenaga pendidiklah yang berpengaruh terhadap preferensi perumahan tenaga pendidik milenial.

Demand for urban housing continues to grow as the population increases. However, millennial as the dominant age group in the future, until today is still difficult to get home. Lecturers as a profession for the millennial generation in the city of Yogyakarta are inseparable from problems in obtaining housing. For this reason, it is necessary to know the preferences of millennial lecturers in choosing housing to find out the direction of city development in the future. This research was conducted on the campus of Gadjah Mada University. The purpose of this study is to determine the preferences of millennial lecturers in housing, to open up new potential in housing planning according to the wishes of the community. This research was conducted by quantitative methods. Data collection is done by open-ended online questionnaire. Determination of respondents using the convenience sampling or accidental sampling method. The number of respondents used was 45 millennial lecturers at Gadjah Mada University. Data analysis using cross-tabulation with chi-square analysis. In this study, it was found that the characteristics of millennial generation did not significantly affect the housing preferences of millennial lecturers. Rather, it is the nature of the teaching profession that influences the housing preferences of millennial lecturers.
