Konsep Pemberontakan Albert Camus Pada Tokoh K Dalam Film Blade Runner 2049 Karya Denis Villeneuve

Penelitian yang berjudul Konsep Pemberontakan Albert Camus Pada Tokoh K Dalam Film Blade Runner 2049 Karya Denis Villeneuve dilatarbelakangi oleh sebuah pembacaan atas subjek antroposentrik pada medium film. Film memiliki kemampuan untuk merepresentasikan dan membentuk ragam sudut pandang mengenai persoalan manusia. Film Blade Runner 2049 berkisah tentang K yang mengalami konflik eksistensial dalam upayanya mencari makna hidup. Albert Camus menilai pencarian tersebut sebagai sesuatu yang sia-sia akibat dominasi yang absurd atas hidup manusia. Camus kemudian memformulasikan suatu konsep pemberontakan sebagai dasar mode eksistensi yang dinamakan manusia absurd. Pada akhir film K menyadari kesia-siaan pencariannya namun memutuskan untuk menyelamatkan Deckard meski berujung pada kematian. Penelitian ini dengan demikian bertujuan untuk memahami secara konkrit konsep pemberontakan Albert Camus yang kemudian digunakan sebagai pisau bedah untuk menganalisis konflik eksistensial yang dialami tokoh K dalam film Blade Runner 2049 karya Denis Villeneuve. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pustaka melalui metode heuristik filosofis dan menggunakan beberapa unsur metodis filosofis, yaitu: (1) Deskripsi; (2) Interpretasi; dan (3) Heuristika. Hasil yang dicapai oleh penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Bagi Camus, pemberontakan yang didasari solidaritas adalah satu-satunya cara untuk menghadapi dominasi yang absurd atas kehidupan; (2) Konflik eksistensial tokoh K dalam film Blade Runner 2049 didasari oleh ketidakmampuannya untuk menemukan makna hidupnya; (3) Keputusan K untuk menyelamatkan Deckard merupakan sebuah pemberontakan metafisis yang didasari solidaritas dalam menghadapi absurditas kehidupan.

This research titled Albert Camus' Concept of Rebellion In The Character K of Blade Runner 2049 By Denis Villeneuve is founded on a reading of the anthropocentric subject within the medium of film. Films have the ability to represent and shape various outlooks concerning the subject of man. The film Blade Runner 2049 tells the existential conflict of K's quest for meaning in life. Albert Camus views that the quest for meaning is a futile one caused by the dominance of the absurd over man' s life. Camus then formulated a concept of rebellion that serves as the basis of a mode existence he calls the absurd man. At the end of Blade Runner 2049, K realizes the futility of his quest but decides to take action by saving Deckard even if it ultimately led to his death. Therefore, the aim of this research is to achieve a definitive understanding of Camus' concept of rebellion which then will be used to analyze to existential conflict depicted through the character K in the movie Blade Runner 2049. This research is a literary study through the method of philosophical heuristics which implements several philosophical methods such as: (1) Description; (2) Interpretation; and (3) Heuristic. The results that have been accomplished by this research are as such: (1) According to Camus, rebellion founded on solidarity is the only method to face the dominance of the absurd on life; (2) The existential conflict presented through the character K in Blade Runner 2049 is caused by his inability to find meaning in life; (3) K's decision to save Deckard is a form of metaphysical rebellion that is founded through solidarity in the face of the absurd.
