GRIT, EFIKASI DIRI, DAN KECEMASAN: TRILOGI SISWA KELAS XII SMA DALAM MENGHADAPI UJIAN SELEKSI MASUK PERGURUAN TINGGI

Kecemasan yang dialami oleh siswa dapat membuat siswa mengalami kesulitan-kesulitan dalam proses belajar yang berdampak kepada ketidakoptimalan performa akademiknya terutama pada kondisi menghadapi ujian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji peran grit dan efikasi diri terhadap kecemasan pada siswa kelas XII dalam menghadapi ujian seleksi masuk perguruan tinggi. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah grit dan efikasi diri secara bersama-sama berperan terhadap kecemasan siswa kelas XII dalam menghadapi seleksi masuk perguruan tinggi. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjulah 557 siswa kelas XII tahun ajaran 2018/2019 dari SMA negeri dan swasta di Kota Yogyakarta. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa grit dan efikasi diri secara bersama-sama memiliki peran yang signifikan terhadap kecemasan siswa dalam menghadapi seleksi masuk perguruan tinggi.

Anxiety experienced by students can cause students to have difficulties in the learning process, which impact to students ' academic performance, especially in the condition of facing exams. This research aimed to examine the role of grit and self-efficacy towards the anxiety of 12th grade students facing university entrance exams. The hypothesis of this research was that grit and self-efficacy together have a role in 12th grade students ' anxiety in facing selection to enter university. Respondents in this research were 557 students in the 12th grade in the 2018/2019 school year from public and private high schools in Yogyakarta. The result of the analysis showed that grit and self-efficacy together have a significant role towards students ' anxiety in facing selection to enter university.
