PENGARUH KOMUNIKASI ANTARA DOKTER GIGI DENGAN TEKNISI GIGI TERHADAP KEPUASAN TEKNISI GIGI DALAM PROSES PEMBUATAN GIGI TIRUAN CEKAT (GTC)

Gigi Tiruan Cekat (GTC) adalah gigi tiruan permanen yang dihubungkan dengan satu atau lebih gigi penyangga yang tidak bisa dilepas oleh pasien. Komunikasi merupakan aktivitas manusia untuk saling mengerti dan memahami suatu pesan antara komunikator dengan komunikan. Kepuasan teknisi gigi merupakan bentuk respon emosional berupa perasaan senang dan puas terhadap komunikasi dan instruksi yang diberikan oleh dokter gigi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji pengaruh komunikasi antara dokter gigi dengan teknisi gigi terhadap kepuasan teknisi gigi dalam pembuatan gigi tiruan cekat. Responden sebanyak tiga puluh dua teknisi gigi yang bekerja di laboratorium teknik gigi RSGM UGM Prof. Soedomo FKG UGM dan laboratorium teknik gigi di Kota Yogyakarta. Alat ukur penelitian menggunakan kuesioner yang terdiri dari 34 soal dengan skala Likert yang memiliki 5 pilihan jawaban. Jawaban responden dianalisis menggunakan uji validitas dan uji reabilitas. Selanjutnya jawaban valid dianalisis menggunakan three-box method dan uji regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh komunikasi antara dokter gigi dengan teknisi gigi terhadap kepuasan teknisi gigi dalam pembuatan gigi tiruan cekat yang signifikan (p<0,05). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah komunikasi antara dokter gigi dengan teknisi gigi berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan teknisi gigi dalam pembuatan gigi tiruan cekat dan tingkat kepuasan teknisi gigi terhadap komunikasi yang sudah terjalin dengan dokter gigi di Kota Yogyakarta termasuk dalam kategori tinggi.

Fixed Denture (FD) is a permanent denture which is bonded with one or more supporting teeth that cannot be removed by the patient. Communication is an activity between the speakers and the listeners in order to understand the messages. Dental technician satisfaction is a form of emotional response that denotes pleasant and satisfied feeling towards the communication and instructions given by the dentist. The purpose of this study was to examine communication between dentists and dental technicians on the satisfaction of dental technicians in the manufacture of fixed dentures. The respondents for this study were thirty-two dental technicians who worked in the dental laboratory of RSGM Prof. Soedomo FKG UGM and dental laboratories in the city of Yogyakarta. To collect the data, the research used a questionnaire consisting of 34 questions using Likert scale which contained 5 answer choices. Respondent�s answer then were analyzed using validity and reliability tests. Afterwards, the valid answers were analyzed using three-box method and simple linear regression test. The results showed that there was a significant effect of communication between dentists and dental technicians on the satisfaction of dental technicians in the manufacture of fixed dentures, that was (p <0.05). The conclusion of this study is that communication between dentists and dental technicians influences the satisfaction of dental technicians in manufacturing fixed dentures and the level of satisfaction of dental technicians towards communication that had been established with dentists in Yogyakarta is included in the high category.
