Identitas Kota Larantuka Berbasis Spirit Lokal

Kota Larantuka termasuk salah satu kota di Pulau Flores Jika dilihat dari sejarahnya kota ini memiliki beberapa keunikan yaitu Kota Larantuka yang termasuk bekas penjajahan Bangsa Portugis ini sempat menjadi suatu Kerajaan Katolik.Selain nilai-nilai sejarah yang mengandung tradisi keagamaan di Larantuka masyarakat juga masih menjalankan tradisi adat pada saat-saat tertentu. Salah satu tradisi yang tumbuh dalam masyarakat tersebut menunjukkan adanya suatu interaksi masyarakat dengan ruang yang di jaga sejak dulu dan ruang tersebut telah menghadirkan suatu makna bagi masyarakat. Dengan keberadaan kota yang memiliki nilai-nilai sejarah, budaya dan perilaku-perilaku masyarakat terhadap ruang kota yang menjadikan suatu ruang memiliki nilai dan makna yang dapat membentuk identitas ruang kota tersebut. Makna-makna dari ruang ini hadir dari masyarakat sebagai aktor yang melakukan aktivitas. Dalam hal ini menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat memiliki peran penting dalam menghadirkan identitas kota. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah induktif-kualitatif dengan pendekatan Fenomenologi.Tujuan dari penggunaan pendekatan fenomenoogi dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat fenomena dalam masyarakat dan ruang di Kota Larantuka baik itu interaksi sosial antar masyarakat maupun pengalaman-pengalaman sejarah yang terjadi dalam ruang kota. Dalam hal ini masyarakat Larantuka yang akan peneliti pandang sebagai objek yang terlibat langsung melakukan kegiatan dalam ruang. Dengan melihat konsep dan tema yang telah terbentuk maka disimpulkan bahwa identitas Kota Larantuka berlandaskan pada Spirit Lokal yang menghasilkan identitas kota berupa karakteristik ruang spirit. Nilai spirit yang membentuk Kota Larantuka telah menjadi jati diri kota ini, spirit lokal sebagai tanda bahwa jati diri Larantuka hadir dari masyarakat setempat. Dalam hal ini adat dan religi merupakan unsur terkuat yang membentuk spirit Kota Larantuka. Perdagangan dan pariwisata hadir karena adanya adat dan religi. Namun perdagangan dan pariwisata kini pun telah melekat kuat dalam Kota Larantuka sehingga perdagangan dan pariwisata tetap menjadi unsur spirit Larantuka.

The city of Larantuka is one of the cities on Flores Island. When viewed from the history of this city has some uniqueness that the city of Larantuka which includes the former Portuguese occupation was once a Catholic kingdom. In addition to historical values containing religious traditions in Larantuka people are also still running customary traditions at certain times. One of the traditions that grow in the society shows that there is a community interaction with the space in the watchcare of the past and the space has brought a meaning to society. With the existence of a city that has values of history, culture and people's behaviors to the city room that makes a space has the value and meaning that can shape the identity of the city room. The meanings of this space are present from the community as an actor who performs the activity. In this case, it shows that the community has an important role in presenting the city identity. The research method used in this research is inductive-qualitative with the phenomenological approach. The purpose of the use of the phenomenoogi approach in this study is to see the phenomenon in society and space in the city of Larantuka Whether it is social interaction between the public and historical experiences that occur in the city room. In this case the people of Larantuka will be researchers of view as objects are directly involved doing the activities in the space. By looking at the concepts and themes that have been formed then concluded that the identity of the city of Larantuka based on the local Spirit that produces a city identity in the form of Spirit room characteristics. The value of spirit that makes the city of Larantuka has become the city's identity, local spirit as a sign that the identity of Larantuka present from the local community. In this case customs and religion is the strongest element that forms the spirit of Larantuka city. Trade and tourism are present because of customs and religion. However, trade and tourism have now been firmly attached to the city of Larantuka so that trade and tourism remain an element of the spirit of Larantuka.
