PREFERENSI PEMILIHAN HUNIAN BURUH INDUSTRI YANG BEKERJA DI KAWASAN INDUSTRI PIYUNGAN KABUPATEN BANTUL

Kawasan Industri Piyungan merupakan salah satu kawasan yang berpotensi dalam pertumbuhan sektor ekonomi di Kabupaten Bantul. Pertumbuhan sektor ekonomi menjadikan masyarakat berminat untuk bekerja sebagai buruh industri dan bermigrasi di sekitar kawasan industri. Hal tersebut berjalan beriringan terhadap permintaan akan hunian bagi tenaga kerja yang diserap oleh suatu kawasan. Namun, penyediaan fasilitas hunian di Kawasan Industri Piyungan bagi buruh industri belum tersedia sehingga saat ini buruh industri yang bekerja di Kawasan Industri Piyungan mengusahakan sendiri dalam memenuhi kebutuhan huniannya. Berdasarkan pada penjelasan tersebut, maka perlu diadakan suatu penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik hunian dan faktor yang menjadi pertimbangan buruh industri dalam memilih hunian. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah metode statistik deskriptif dan metode skoring untuk menentukan faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap pertimbangan pemilihan hunian bagi buruh industri yang bekerja di Kawasan Industri Piyungan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah buruh industri cenderung memilih hunian sewa dengan lokasi yang dekat dengan tempat kerjanya. Sedangkan faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh dalam pemilihan hunian yaitu lokasi dekat dengan tempat kerja, lokasi dekat dengan sarana ekonomi, lingkungan sosial, dan harga. Selain itu, hasil penelitian juga ditemukan adanya perbedaan kepentingan faktor berdasarkan status marital buruh industri.

Piyungan Industrial Area is one of the areas that have potential for economics sector growth in Bantul Regency. Growth in the economic sector has made people interested to work as industrial laborers and to migrate around industrial estates. This goes hand in hand with demands occupation for labors absorbed by a region. However, residential facilities in Piyungan Industrial Area for labors are not available yet, so those labors are seeking their own needs. Based on the explanation above, it is necessary to conduct the study that aims to identify housing characteristics and factors that are considered by industrial workers. The analytical method is used descriptive statistical method and scoring method to determine the factors that influence the consideration of housing choice for industrial workers who work in the Piyungan Industrial Area. The results of this study are the laborers tend to choose rent house near to their workplace. Whereas the factors that influence are the location close to the workplace, economy activities, the social environment, and the prices. In addition, the results of the study also found differences in interests based on the marital status of industrial workers.
