Industri Teh Indonesia dalam Konfigurasi Strategi ejaring Produksi Global

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterlibatan industri teh Indonesia dalam jaringan produksi global menggunakan kerangka tata kelola rantai nilai dan beberapa konsep jaringan produksi global. Tesis ini mengamati Unilever Global sebagai aktor utama perusahaan, PTPN VIII dan Kabepe Chakra sebagai aktor pemasok. Fokus analisis dibagi menjadi dua bagian, pertama konfigurasi industri teh Indonesia dalam jaringan produksi global dan kedua bagaimana konfigurasi menciptakan tata kelola rantai nilai global. Tesis ini menunjukkan bahwa industri teh di Indonesia secara teknis masih dalam konfigurasi kontrol interfirm dilihat oleh konsep kompetitif dinamis dari timbal dan pemasok. Dari konfigurasi ini, tipe tata kelola rantai nilai global di sektoteh menunjukkan hubungan captive, dimana kendali berada di perusahaan besar berupa kualitas produksi dengan menggunakan lembaga sertifikasi.

This researh aims at analyzing the involvement of Indonesia tea industry in the global production network using the governance of value chain framework and some global production network concepts. It takes Unilever Global as the lead firm actor, PTPN VIII and Kabepe Chakra as suppliers actor. Focuse of analysis divides into two part, first the configuration of Indonesia tea industry in global production network and second how the configuration create the governance of global value chain. This thesis shows that tea industry in Indonesia technically is still in the interfirm control configuration seeing by the dynamic competitive concept of the lead frm and suppliers. From this configuration, the governance of global value chain type in tea sector shows captive relation, where the control of lead firm in production quality using certification bodies.
