UJI VARIASI UKURAN BENIH DARI BEBERAPA SUMBER BENIH TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN SEMAI JATI

1995 | Skripsi | S1 KEHUTANANSuatu penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh ukuran benih dari beberapa sumber benih terhadap pertumbuhan tinggi dan diameter semai jati, telah dilakukan di Rumah Kaca Fakultas Kehutanan Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogya karta, yang dilanjutkan dengan penanaman di lapangan (Wanagama). Benih yang digunakan berdiameter 9-12 mm, 12-15 mm dan 15 mm ke atas. Sedangkan benih berasal dari sumber benih Purwodadi, Randublatung, Cepu, Blora, Kebon harjo dan Mantingan. Pengamatan di Rumah Kaca selama (7\ bulan dan pengamatan di lapangan selama 4 bulan. Parame¬ ter yang digunakan adalah tinggi dan diameter semai. Penelitian di Rumah Kaca sampai dengan umur 7 bulan menunjukkan bahwa sumber benih dan ukuran benih berpenga ruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan tinggi semai dengan ukuran tertinggi 21,60 cm dicapai oleh sumber benih Mantingan dengan ukuran benih 15 mm ke atas. Namun terhadap pertum¬ buhan diameter semai , sumber benih maupun ukuran benih tidak berpengaruh nyata. Penelitian di lapangan memberikan hasil bahwa hanya sumber benih yang berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan tinggi semai, penelitian di lapangan sampai umur 4 bulan, ukuran tertinggi dicapai oleh sumber benih Kebonhar. jo. Tetapi sumber benih dan ukuran benih tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan diameter semai di lapangan. Interaksi antara sumber benih dan ukuran benih tidak berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan diameter semai, baik itu pada pengamatan di Rumah Kaca maupun pengamatan di la¬ pangan.
This study is to understand the seed measure' s effects of some seed resources on hardwood (teak) seed' s height and diameter growth, conducted in Green House, Forestry Department, Gaddah Mada University, Yogyakarta. Furthermore, the plantation was done in field ' Wanagama' . The used seed measures were of 9-12 mm, 12-15 mm and more than 15 mm in diameter. While the seeds were from the seed resources of Purwodadi, Randublatung, Cepu, Blora, Kebonharjo and Mantingan. I had been observing for 7 months in Green House, and in the field for 4 months. The applied parameters were the diameter and height of seeds. The finding indicated that the seed resources and diameter had effects on their height growth in Green House experiment. The highest seed was 21,60 cm which was from the seed resource of Mantingan. And the seed measure was more than 15 mm. However, when I observed the height growth in the field for 4 months, the only seed resource having effect on the seed growth in heigth which came from the seed resource of Kebonharjo. While the result of measured seed diameter growth indicated that the interaction between seed measure and resource did not have any effects on the growth of seed diameter, whether it was observed in Green House or field.
