PEMBUATAN STORY MAP KALI CODE KAWASAN KOTA YOGYAKARTA

Kali Code merupakan objek yang menarik untuk dibuat ke dalam story map karena Kali Code memiliki sejarah yang panjang serta letaknya yang dekat dengan pusat Kota Yogyakarta. Bantaran Kali Code juga memiliki tingkat huni yang padat, namun kondisinya rentan terhadap bencana, baik banjir tahunan hingga banjir lahar setelah erupsi gunung Merapi. Story map dipilih sebagai mode penyajian, sebab mampu menceritakan objek dengan unsur posisi dan waktu yang bersifat kompleks. Story Map merupakan salah satu bentuk produk kartografi atlas digital. Penggunaan story map dalam penyajian data Kali code, diharapkan dapat menarik minat dan perhatian pengguna. Kegiatan aplikatif ini dibuat untuk menyusun visualisasi berupa atlas berbasis web dengan metode storytelling menggunakan platform story map yang menceritakan berbagai tema sesuai konsep story map yang mengedepankan desain antar muka dan interaksi pengguna dengan peta. Story map dibuat menggunakan platform ArcGIS Online yaitu ESRI Story map. Data spasial, data atribut dan data multimedia dikumpulkan dan diolah sesuai dengan konsep story map yang dibuat. Konsep story map dibuat berdasarkan tipe struktur naratif pada atlas, selanjutnya diselaraskan dengan peta web dan data multimedia. Skripsi ini menghasilkan atlas berbasis web dengan menggunakan platform story map dari ESRI yang menceritakan Kali Code dari berbagai sub tema. Sub tema dibagi menjadi enam, yaitu lokasi Kali Code, sejarah, demografi, pariwisata, kebencanaan, dan komunitas yang ada di bantaran Kali Code. Berdasarkan hasil tanggapan pengguna, story map Kali Code sudah tepat, baik dalam menyampaikan informasi di dalamnya dan mudah untuk dioperasikan.

Kali Code River is a compelling object for a story map, because it has a complex history and located in the center of Yogyakarta. Kali Code river bank has very dense population. Altough the condition in Kali Code river is vulnerable to disasters, such as annual flooding and lava floods as effect of the eruption of Mount Merapi. Story map is chosen as the vitsualization technique, because it is able to tell the objects with complex elements of spatial and time. Story Maps is a type of digital atlas from cartographic products. The use of story maps to visualize Kali Code data, is expected to attract more interest and attention from users. Story map was created using the ArcGIS Online platform and ESRI Story map. Spatial, attribute and multimedia data were collected and processed according to the concept of the story map. The story map concept is developed based upon the type of narrative structure in the atlas then synchronized with the web map and multimedia data. This thesis produces a web-based atlas using a story map approach which contains the story of Kali Code from multi-themes. There are six sub themes presented in this story maps, which are include; the location of the Kali Code, history, demography, tourism, disaster, and the communities on the banks of the Kali Code. Based on the results of user responses, the story map of Code River has delivered right and good information, yet it is easy to operate.
