KELAYAKAN FINANSIAL DAN RESPONS PERAJIN GULA KELAPA TERHADAP GULA KELAPA KRISTAL DI KABUPATEN BANYUMAS

Gula kelapa kristal merupakan salah satu produk unggulan di Kabupaten Banyumas yang sudah menembus pasar ekspor, namun tidak semua daerah penghasil gula kelapa memproduksi gula kelapa kristal, salah satunya adalah Kecamatan Kebasen. Padahal Kecamatan Kebasen merupakan salah satu inti klaster dalam program pengembangan industri dan diversivikasi gula kelapa di Kabupaten Banyumas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respons dan faktor yang mempengaruhinya pada perajin gula kelapa terhadap gula kelapa kristal di Kecamatan Kebasen. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer hasil survey terhadap 91 responden perajin gula kelapa di Kecamatan kebasen. Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah usia, jumlah pohon, status pohon, pendapatan, pendidikan, pengalaman, intensitas penyuluhan, peran tengkulak, dan persepsi. Metode deskriptif kualitatif digunakan untuk mengetahui respons perajin gula kelapa terhadap gula kelapa kristal. Sedangkan untuk mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi respons perajin gula kelapa terhadap gula kelapa kristal digunakan analisis logit biner. Analisis kelayakan finansial dihitung menggunakkan analisis NPV, IRR, gross B/C ratio, payback period dan analisis sensitivitas. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan 62,63% perajin gula kelapa cetak di Kecamatan Kebasen Kabupaten Banyumas memiliki respons negatif terhadap gula kelapa kristal. Berdasarkan analisis logit biner, faktor yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap respons tersebut adalah usia, jumlah pohon, pendapatan, peran tengkulak dan persepsi. Analisis kelayakan finansial menunjukan hasil usahatani gula kelapa kristal lebih layak dibandingkan dengan usahatani gula kelapa cetak.

Crystal coconut sugar is one of the featured products in Banyumas Regency that has been entered the export market, however, only some producer regions of coconut sugar which produce the crystal coconut sugar, one of them is Kebasen District. In an actual condition, Kebasen District is one of the core clusters in the industrial development program and diversification of coconut sugar in Banyumas Regency. This research is aimed to discover the responses and determining factors of the producers of coconut sugar towards the crystal coconut sugar in Kebasen District. The data that being used are the primary data as the survey results on 91 respondents of coconut sugar producers in Kebasen District. The variables used in this research were age, number of trees, status of trees, income, education, experience, intensity of facilitation, the role of wholesaler, and perception. A qualitative descriptive method was used to discover the responses of coconut sugar producers on crystal coconut sugar while the binary logit analysis was used to discover the factors that influence the responses of coconut sugar producers towards crystal coconut sugar. Financial feasibility analysis is calculated using NPV analysis, IRR, gross B/C ratio, payback period and sensitivity analysis. The results of this research have indicated that the responses of 62,63% coconut sugar producers on crystal coconut sugar in Kebasen District, Banyumas Regency is still in negative response. According to the binary logit analysis, the factors that found significantly influence the responses are age, number of trees, income, role of wholesaler, and perception. Financial feasibility analysis shows that the results of crystal coconut sugar farming are more feasible than those of solid coconut sugar.
