UNSUR-UNSUR INTRINSIK CERPEN "YA MUGAYYIRA AL-AHWAL" DALAM ANTOLOGI CERPEN ASY-YA`UHUM AS-SAGIRAH KARYA ABDULLAH BIN SALIH AL-'ARINI: ANALISIS STRUKTURAL ROBERT STANTON

Penelitian ini membahas unsur-unsur intrinsik cerpen "Ya Mugayyira Al-Ahwal" dalam antologi cerpen Asy-ya`uhum As-Sagirah karya Abdullah bin Salih Al-Arini dengan menggunakan analisis struktural Robert Stanton. Unsur-unsur intrinsik yang dibahas mencakup fakta cerita yang terdiri atas karakter, alur, dan latar, kemudian tema, serta sarana cerita yang terdiri atas judul dan sudut pandang. Penelitian ini juga membahas keterkaitan antarunsur tersebut dalam menghasilkan makna. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tema cerpen ini adalah syukur dan qana'ah akan menenangkan dan membahagiakan, sebaliknya kufur nikmat dan memaksakan kehendak akan menyulitkan. Tokoh utama dalam cerpen ini adalah Abu Misy'al yang memiliki sifat kufur nikmat dan tamak. Ia ingin mengubah kehidupannya agar dipandang kaya dengan cara membeli barang-barang kebutuhan yang mewah termasuk mobil secara mencicil hingga ia tidak sanggup melunasinya. Tokoh tambahannya adalah Zainab (istri Abu Misy'al), Pemilik Toko, dan Penagih Hutang. Cerpen ini memiliki alur maju atau progresif. Latar tempatnya adalah rumah Abu Misy'al, toko kelontong, dan tempat kerja Abu Misy'al. Latar waktunya adalah pagi hari dan latar sosialnya adalah kehidupan menengah ke bawah. Cerpen ini diceritakan dengan sudut pandang orang ketiga-tidak terbatas. Masing-masing unsur intrinsik cerpen ini memiliki keterkaitan satu sama lain sehingga membentuk makna yang utuh.

This study discusses the intrinsic elements of the short story "Ya Mugayyira Al-Ahwal" in the anthology Asyya`uhum As-Sagirah written by Abdullah bin Salih Al-Arini by using Robert Stanton's structural analysis. The intrinsic elements that are discussed consist of facts of the story; characters and characterizations, plot, and setting, the theme, and the literary devices which consists of title and point of view. This study also analyzes the relations among those elements in making meanings. This study concludes that the theme of this short story is that gratitude and "qana'ah" make people relieved and happy while ingratitude and obtrude make things hard. The main character of this short story is Abu Misy'al whose characters are ungrateful and greedy. He wants to change his life so that people see him rich by buying expensive stuffs including a car that he pays in installment to which at the end he can't settle the debt. In addition, the supporting characters are Zainab (Abu Misy'al's wife), The store's owner, dan the dept collector. The setting of place includes Abu Misy'al's house, the grocery store, and Abu Misy'al's office. Meanwhile, the setting of time takes in the morning and the social background in this short story is the the life of the lower middle. This short story is performed by using unlimited-third point of view. Each of the intrinsic elements relates one another as of forming a complete meaning.
