Evaluasi Strategi Unit Bisnis Pertambangan Studi Pada PT. Petrosea, Tbk

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perubahan lingkungan industri dan key success factors industri kontraktor pertambangan batubara dimasa sekarang dan kecenderungannya di masa depan. Penelitian ini melakukan evaluasi terhadap strategi perusahaan saat ini, mengidentifikasi kekuatan dan kelemahan serta hal-hal yang menjadi peluang dan ancaman bagi perusahaan untuk kemudian merumuskan strategi bisnis yang tepat dalam menghadapi persaingan ke depan di industri kontraktor pertambangan. Metodelogi penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan framework analisisnya terdiri dari: (1)Analisis lingkungan makro dengan PEST (Politic, Environment, Social, Technology) analysis; (2) Analisis lingkungan industri menggunakan Five Forces Analysis; (3) Identifikasi Key Success Factors untuk industri kontraktor pertambangan; (4) SWOT Analysis, yang digunakan untuk menganalisis kekuatan, kelemahan, serta peluang dan ancaman perusahaan; (5)IFE-EFE evaluation matrix untuk melakukan evaluasi strategi saat ini dan formulasi strategi bersaing ke depan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi yang diterapkan oleh perusahaan saat ini dinilai tepat dengan beberapa aspek yang harus segera dibenahi. Fokus strategi market penetration dan product development dengan posisi hold & maintain pada matriks Internal-Eksternal Evaluation, posisi internal perusahaan terletak pada posisi rata-rata, sedangkan posisi eksternal perusahaan terletak pada posisi yang sedang. Perusahaan harus berusaha untuk meningkatkan kekuatan internal, menjalankan strategi Best Cost Provider dan fokus strategi Asset Management dalam menyiapkan unit dan peralatan tambang dalam meningkatkan daya saing di industri. This thesis aims to analyze changes in the industrial environment and key success factors of coal mining contractors industry in the present time and its future. This Thesis evaluates the current strategy by identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the company as well as the opportunities and threats for the company. Formulate the right business strategy in the face of future competition in the mining contractor industry. This Thesis uses qualitative research methodology, by using framework analysis consist of: (1) Analysis of macro environment with PEST (Politic, Environment, Social, Technology) analysis; (2) Industry environment analysis using Five Forces Analysis; (3) Identification of Key Success Factors for mining contractor industries; (4) SWOT Analysis, which is used to analyze the strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities and threats of the company; (5)IFE EFE evaluation matrix for evaluating current strategies and formulation of competitive strategies in the future. The results of this thesis indicate that the strategy adopted by the company is currently considered appropriate with some aspects that must be addressed. The focus of market penetration and product development strategy with the position of 'hold & maintain' on the matrix of Internal-External Evaluation, the internal position of the company lies in the average position, while the external position of the company lies in the position of being moderate. Companies should strive to improve internal strengths, implement Best Cost Provider strategies and focus on Asset Management Strategies in setting up mining units and equipment in enhancing industry competitiveness.
