HARRY POTTER SEBAGAI HASIL SUBJEKTIVASI J.K. ROWLING MENURUT TEORI SUBJEKTIVASI ALAIN BADIOU

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan mengenai proses subjektivasi individu dalam novel Harry Potter karya J.K. Rowling. Proses dalam penelitian ini sendiri berlandaskan pada ide filosofis Alain Badiou yang mewujud dalam teori subjektivasi individu. Berdasarkan teori tersebut, maka penelitian ini berangkat dari beberapa masalah yang harus diketahui; bagaimana hubungan multiplisitas dan peristiwa yang menginkorporasi J.K Rowling dengan novel Harry Potter, bagaimana prosedur kebenaran dan jejak sejarahnya yang berfungsi membantu subjektivasi J.K. Rowling sebagai elemen subjektif, kemudian bagaimana proses tersebut yang menjadikan J.K. Rowling sebagai sebuah subjek baru sementara Harry Potter sendiri dapat dikategorikan sebagai subjek apa? Dengan menelaah latar belakang J.K. Rowling yang menjadikannya sebuah elemen subjektif akibat pengaruh dari berbagai peristiwa dan multiplisitas di Inggris, Rowling pun dapat dikategorikan sebagai sebuah subjek baru (Sb) yang digolongkan sebagai subjek yakin. Hasil ini merujuk kepada tiga kategori subjek yang digagas oleh Alain Badiou sebagai hasil dari subjektivasi individu; subjek yakin (faithful subject), subjek kabur (obscure subject), dan subjek reaktif (reactive subject). Kemudian setelah dilakukan analisis terhadap tubuh kebenaran universal, multiplisitas, prosedur kebenaran, serta jejak sejarah yang muncul di dalam novel, karakter Harry Potter sebagai elemen subjektif di dalam novel juga dapat dikategorikan sebagai subjek yakin, sementara itu Lord Voldemort sebagai tokoh antagonis tergolong ke dalam subjek kabur. Namun, tidak ada karakter yang dapat digolongkan ke dalam subjek reaktif.

This research is purposed to describe the process of indvidual subjectivation in the novel Harry Potter written by J.K. Rowling. The process in this research is based on Alain Badiou's philosophical ideas embodied in the theory of individual subjectivation. Thus, this research is done based on several problems that must be found out; how does the relation of multiplicity and events that incorporate J.K Rowling with the novel, how does the truth procedures and her belonging to history act in the process of her subjectivation to become a new subject, and the last is how does the subjectivation process create the new J.K. Rowling as a subject and also the categorization of Harry Potter as a new subject. By examining the background of J.K. Rowling which makes her a subjective element due to the influence of various events and multiplicities in Britain, Rowling can also be categorized as a new subject which is classified as a faithful subject. This result refers to the three subject categories conceived by Alain Badiou as the result of individual subjectivation; faithful subjects, obscure subjects, and reactive subjects. Then after some analysis to the universal body of truth, multiplicities, truth procedures, and the belonging to history that appear in the novel, Harry Potter as a subjective element in the novel can also be categorized as a faithful subject, while Lord Voldemort as an antagonist belongs to the obscure subject. However, no characters can be classified into reactive subjects.
