VALIDITAS PREDIKTIF PAPS DALAM MEMPREDIKSI KEBERHASILAN BELAJAR MAHASISWA MAGISTER PSIKOLOGI PROFESI UNIVERSITAS GADJAH MADA

2018 | Tesis | MAGISTER PSIKOLOGIPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan PAPS dalam memprediksi Indeks Prestasi Mahasiswa Magister Psikologi Profesi UGM. Indeks prestasi mahasiswa meliputi indeks prestasi semester (IPS), indeks prestasi kumulatif (IPK), indeks prestasi mata kuliah Kemagisteran, dan Keprofesian. Data berupa skor Tes PAPS (subtes Verbal, subtes Penalaran, subtes Kuantitatif, dan Skor Total) dan Indeks Prestasi Mahasiswa Magister Psikologi Profesi UGM angkatan 2013, 2014, dan 2015. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 214 mahasiswa. Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis korelasi. Hasil analisis secara umum menunjukkan bahwa Tes PAPS mampu menjadi prediktor keberhasilan belajar mahasiswa pascasarjana program Magister Psikologi Profesi UGM. Keberhasilan belajar yang dimaksud meliputi Indeks Prestasi Semester, Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif, Indeks Prestasi Kemagisteran, dan Indeks Prestasi Keprofesian. Jika dilihat per subtes, maka subtes kuantitatif memiliki daya prediktif yang paling tinggi. Di sisi lain, subtes verbal hanya menjadi prediktor yang baik terhadap IPK Keprofesian.
The purpose of this research is to find out the PAPS capability in predicting the Grade-Points Average of the Graduate Students of Master of Professional Psychology of Universitas Gadjah Mada. Graduate students� GPA consisted of Semester Grade-Points Average (Semester GPA), Grade-Points Average (GPA), and Grade Points of Master Courses and Professional Courses. Obtained data is in the form of PAPS Tests scores (Verbal sub-test, Reasoning sub-test, Quantitative sub-test, and Total Score) and the Grade-Points Average of the Graduate students of Master of Professional Psychology of Universitas Gadjah Mada class of 2013, 2014, and 2015. The subjects of the study are 214 graduate students. The analysis was done by using correlation analysis. The result in general shows that PAPS Test can be a predictor of learning success for the graduate students at the Master of Professional Psychology of Universitas Gadjah Mada. The definition of learning success consisted of Semester GPA, GPA, Grade Points of Master Courses, and Grade Points of Professional Courses. Based on sub-tests analysis, quantitative sub-test shows the highest predictive power. On the other hand, verbal sub-test can only be a good predictor for Grade Points of Professional Courses.
