Penggunaan Maksim-Maksim Prinsip Kesopanan Leech di Film The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring Skripsi ini meneliti tentang penggunaan maksim-maksim prinsip kesopanan Leech dalam film The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. Secara khusus, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengklasifikasikan penggunaan dari maksim Leech yang ditemukan dalam film tersebut. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dialog yang menunjukkan penggunaan maxim kebijaksanaan, maksim penerimaan, maksim kemurahan/ kedermawanan, maksim kecocokan/ persesuaian, maksim kesimpatian, dan maksim kesederhanaan/ kerendahan hati. Hasil dari skripsi ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 54 kasus penggunaan dari maksim-maksim Leech: 29 (57.7%) kasus penggunaan maksim kebijaksanaan, 7 (13%) kasus penggunaan maksim penerimaan, 7 (13%) kasus penggunaan maksim kemurahan, 6 (11.1%) kasus penggunaan maksim kecocokan, 3 (5.5%) penggunaan maksim kerendahan hati, dan 2 (3.7%) kasus penggunaan maksim kesimpatian. Dalam penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa penggunaan maksi kebijaksanaan dianggap sebagai strategi yang paling umum digunakan oleh penutur dalam film.

The Use of Leech Politeness Principle Maxims in the Movie The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring This research paper attempts to investigate the use of Leech Politeness Principle Maxims in the movie The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. In particular, it attempts to identify and classify the use of Leech maxims found in the movie. The data used in this research were dialogues containing expressions of the six Politeness Principle maxims; Tact maxim, Approbation maxim, Generosity maxim, Agreement maxim, Sympathy maxim, and Modesty maxim. Based on the data analysis, 54 cases of the use of Leech maxims were found: 29 (53.7%) cases showed the use of Tact maxim, 7 (13%) the use of Approbation Maxim, 7 (13%) the use of Generosity maxim, 6 (11.1%) the use of Agreement maxim,3 (5.5%) the use of Modesty maxim, and 2 (3.7%) the use of Sympathy maxim. It was found in this research that the use of Tact maxim is considered as most commonly used strategies in the movie.
