Berbagai penelitian terdahulu membuktikan bahwa tingkat praktik program opsi saham meningkat setiap tahunnya. Program opsi saham adalah bentuk kompensasi berbasis ekuitas yang diberikan dengan tujuan meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan. Untuk menguji hubungan tersebut, digunakan variabel mediasi dengan menggunakan produktivitas. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan menganalisis pengaruh program opsi saham pada perusahaan non keuangan di Indonesia periode 2007 hingga 2016. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah perusahaan yang memberikan opsi saham pada karyawan atau manajemen. Dengan mengabaikan pengaruh waktu, diperoleh sejumalah 76 sampel. Berdasarkah hasil uji t-test, diperoleh hasil yang menunjukkan bahwa program opsi saham tidak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja perusahaan dalam hubungan langsung. Akan tetapi, pengujian hubungan tidak langsung dengan Sobel Test menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan bahwa program opsi saham dapat meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan.

Previous studies have shown that the practice of stock option programs is increasing every year. Stock option program is a form of equity-based compensation provided for the purpose of improving the performance of the company. To test the relationship, used a mediation variable using productivity. This study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the effect of stock option program on non-financial companies in Indonesia period 2007 to 2016. The sample used in the research is a company that provides stock options for employees or management. Regardless of the effect of time, 76 samples were obtained. The result of t-test and F-test show that the stock option program has no effect on the performance of the company in a direct relationship. However, testing the indirect relationship with the Sobel Test shows significant results that stock options programs can improve company performance.
