Jalur pejalan kaki merupakan salah satu kebutuhan penting bagi para pejalan kaki terutama pada kawasan dengan tingkat aktivitas tinggi. Jalur pejalan kaki diharapkan dapat memberi kenyamanan dan keamanan bagi penggunanya. Yogyakarta sebagai kota tujuan wisata memiliki permasalahan yang kompleks yang menjadi sorotan berbagai pihak khususnya wisatawan yang datang untuk berlibur ke Kota Yogyakarta. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai efektivitas jalur pedestrian dan mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi efektivitas jalur pejalan kaki sebagai ruang aktivitas Kawasan Malioboro. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode Deduktif-Deskriptif-Kualitatif dengan menggunakan variabel pemanfaatan ruang trotoar berdasarkan aktivitas yang ada di dalamnya apakah sesuai dengan fungsi dan perannya dan variabel Tingkat Pelayanan Jalur Pedestrian (PLOS). Hasil Penelitian Menunjukan Jalur Pedestrian Malioboro Efektif hal ini dikarenakan aktifitas dan pemanfaatan ruang yang ada di jalur pedestrian tersebut sesuai dengan fungsi dan peran jalur pedestrian sebagai mana mestinya. Faktor yang mempengaruhi keefektifan Jalur pedestrian malioboro cukup berbeda dengan jalur Pedestrian lainnya karena Malioboro sudah mempunyai karakter jalur pedestrian sendiri, adapun faktotfaktor tersebut adalah pedestrian yang efektif dalam fungsi, efektif dalam dimensi dan efektif dalam fasilitas

ABSTRACT Assessment Effectiveness of malioboro pedestrian path, towards pedestrians. Pedestrian paths are an important requirement for pedestrians especially in areas with high activity levels. Pedestrian paths are expected to provide comfort and safety for its users. Yogyakarta as a tourist destination city has a complex problem that is in the spotlight of various parties, especially tourists who come for a vacation to the city of Yogyakarta. Therefore, this study aims to assess the effectiveness of pedestrian pathways and to know the factors that influence the effectiveness of the pedestrian path as the activity space of Malioboro Region. This research was conducted using Deductive-Descriptive-Qualitative method by using variable of pavement space utilization based on activity in it whether in accordance with its function and role and variable Pedestrian Level of Service(PLOS). Research Results Indicate Pedestrian Path Malioboro Effective this is because the activity and utilization of space in the pedestrian path is in accordance with the function and role of the pedestrian path as it should be. Factors affecting the effectiveness The pedestrian path of malioboro is quite different from other Pedestrian pathways because Malioboro already has its own pedestrian track character, while those factors are effective pedestrian in function, effective in dimensions and effective in facilities Keywords: Effectiveness, Malioboro, Pedestrian Lane, Pedestrian, Tourists, Yogyakarta
