Memahami British Fashion Era 60s Dengan Teori Fashion Sebagai Komunikasi Malcolm Barnard

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan British Fashion Era 60s yang dikaji dengan teori Fashion Sebagai Komunikasi Malcolm Barnard. Fashion merupakan fenomena komunikatif sebab dapat digunakan untuk memahami dunia serta benda-benda dan manusia yang ada di dalamnya. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman terhadap British Fashion Era 60s melalui tinjauan Fashion Sebagai Komunikasi Malcolm Barnard. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kepustakaan dengan menggunakan metode hermeneutika filosofis. Objek material penelitian ini adalah British Fashion Era 60s. Objek formal penelitian ini adalah teori Fashion Sebagai Komunikasi Malcolm Barnard. Data yang diambil berasal dari buku, jurnal, dan karya ilmiah lainnya yang berkaitan dengan judul penelitian. Langkah-langkah yang dilakukan peneliti diantaranya pengumpulan data, pengolahan data, serta penyusunan data yang kemudian dianalisis dengan unsur metodis berupa deskripsi, interpretasi, serta refleksi. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan bukti bahwa fashion termasuk komunikasi nonverbal yang merupakan komunikasi tanpa lisan. Fashion merupakan bentuk komunikasi artifaktual yang didalamnya terdiri dari pakaian, aksesoris dan dandanan. British fashion era 60s mampu memberikan pemikiran baru dalam komunikasi. Fashion pada British era 60s juga dikenal dengan sebutan The Swinging Sixties yaitu angin perubahan pada dunia fashion yang mana di era 60s, fashion menjadi lebih bebas dan berani dalam berekspresi dan berkarya. Dalam The Swinging Sixties terdapat berbagai gaya fashion seperti hippies, beatnik, the space age, the mods dan fashion Twiggy yang memaparkan bentuk komunikasi, identitas serta makna denotasi dan konotasi pada fashion. Era 60s melahirkan gebrakan yang menentang dogma dan ketidakadilan juga merupakan era bangkitnya fashion yang mana sebuah gebrakan baru di industri fashion.

This research aims to describe British Fashion 60s Era with the theory of Fashion as Communication Malcolm Barnard. Fashion is a communicative phenomenon since it could be used to knowing about the world and its stuffs also the man in it. The purpose of this research provides to understanding British Fashion 60s Era through the theory of Fashion as Communication Malcolm Barnard. This research is a literature study which used philosophical hermeneutics as a method. The material object of this research is British Fashion 60s Era. The formal object of this research is the theory of Fashion as Communication Malcolm Barnard. Any datas that include to this research are mostly from books, journals, and any scientific works that correlated to this research. This research follows steps such as: data collection, data processing, and data compilation. Thus, the methodological elements that used to this research are description, interpretation, and reflection. This research is given the evidence that British Fashion 60s era is able to contribute the new idea in communication. Fashion is a part of nonverbal communication which is a form of communication without the words flying out. Fashion is an artifactual communication which consists of clothing, accessories, and makeup. Back then, British fashion 60s era was buzzing out the new era of fashion in the whole world. British fashion 60s era is also known as The Swinging Sixties, which means the wind of change in fashion industry. In The Swinging Sixties, there are plenty of fashion styles as hippies, beatnik, the space age, the mods and fashion Twiggy which explained communication, identity, the meaning of denotation and connotation. In the 60s era, fashion was way more gallant at expressing its fashion and it was also against dogma and injustice also the rising era of fashion, which was a revolution of fashion industry.
