Model Homeschooling dalam Perspektif Filsafat Pendidikan Progresivisme

Penelitian Model Homeschooling dalam Perspektif Filsafat Pendidikan Progresivisme dilatarbelakangi oleh sistem pendidikan formal yang belum dapat secara baik memenuhi kebutuhuan alamiah anak dalam menjalani proses pendidikan didalam kehidupannya. Homeschooling hadir sebagai pendidikan alternatif yang berbeda dengan sekolah formal. Pendidikan model homeschooling menekankan prinsip fleksibilitas dan fokus terhadap minat, potensi, dan bakat yang dimiliki anak, sehingga kebutuhan anak secara alamiah dapat terpenuhi dengan baik. Homeschooling menjadikan anak sebagai subjek pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan pemahaman dengan jelas mengenai pemikiran filsafat pendidikan progresivsime, memaparkan dengan jelas mengenai konsep pendidikan model homeschooling, dan memperoleh gambaran mengenai unsur pendidikan model homeschooling dalam perspektif filsafat pendidikan progresivisme. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan. Objek material yang dibahas adalah pendidikan model homeschooling dan objek formal yang digunakan untuk menganalisis terkait pendidikan homeschooling adalah filsafat pendidikan progresivisme. Penelitian ini berjalan dengan empat tahapan yaitu inventarisasi data, klasifikasi data, analisis, dan penyusunan hasil. Analisis hasil penelitian menggunakan metode hermeneutika filosofis dengan unsur-unsur metodis yang berupa deskriptif, interpretasi, kesinambungan historis, holistik, dan refleksi peneliti. Hasil yang dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah, pertama; homeschooling merupakan model pendidikan dimana sebuah keluarga memilih untuk bertanggung jawab sendiri atas pendidikan anak-anaknya dengan mendidik menggunakan rumah sebagai basis pendidikannya. Kedua; filsafat pendidikan progresivisme adalah kepercayaan terhadap kekuatan alamiah manusia, kekuatan yang diwariskan manusia sejak lahir yang telah membawa bakat dan kemampuan atau potensi dasar, terutama daya akalnya, sehingga manusia akan dapat mengatasi segala problematika hidupnya. Ketiga; filsafat pendidikan progresivisme memandang unsur yang terdapat dalam pendidikan homeschooling sebagai upaya penyediaan lingkungan dan fasilitas yang memungkinkan berlangsungnya proses belajar secara bebas pada setiap anak untuk mengembangkan bakat dan minatnya. Hubungan pendidik peserta didik, kurikulum dan pendekatan pembelajaran homeschooling dipandang sejalan dengan filsafat pendidikan progresivisme yang menekankan pada prinsip fleksibilitas, aktivitas dunia nyata, dan pengalaman.

The reasearch of the homescooling model in the perspective of progresivism education philosophy based on the formal education system that has not been able to properly meet the natural needs of children in undergoing the process of education in life. Homeschooling comes as an alternative education that is different from formal education. Homeschooling education emphasizes the principle of flexibility and focus on the child's interests, potential and talents, so that the child's natural needs can be fulfilled. Homeschooling makes children as a subject of education. This study aims to explain clearly about homeschooling education, with a clear understanding of the philosophical thoughts of progressive education, and obtain a picture of the element of homeschooling education in the perspective of progresivism education philosophy. This research was conducted by literature study. The material objects discussed are homeschooling education and the formal object that is used to analyze homeschooling related education is the philosophy of progresivism education. This study runs with four stages of data inventory, data classification, analysis, and compilation of results. Analysis of research results using philosophical hermeneutical method with the methodical elements in the form of descriptive, interpretation, historical continuity, holistic, and reflection researchers. The results achieved in this study are: First; homeschooling is an educational model in which a family chooses to be self responsible for the education of its children by educating the home as its educational base. Second; the philosophy of progressivism education is the belief in the natural forces of human, the inherited power of human from birth who has brought the talent and the ability or basic potential, especially the intellect, so that human beings will be able to overcome all the problems of life. Third; the philosophy of progressivism education views the elements of homeschooling education as an effort to provide the environment and facilities that enable free learning in every child to develop his talents and interests. The educator relationship of learners, curriculum and homeschooling approaches is seen in line with the progressivism education philosophy that emphasizes flexibility, real world activity, and experience.
