JENIS DAN MAKNA GAYA BAHASA DALAM NOVEL NALIKA LANGITE OBAH KARANGAN ESMIET

Novel Nalika Langite Obah (NLO) merupakan novel berbahasa Jawa yang ditulis oleh Esmiet pada tahun 1997. Novel karya Esmiet itu menarik untuk diteliti karena di dalamnya terdapat berbagai macam gaya bahasa. Berbagai macam gaya bahasa dalam novel NLO itu perlu diketahui, karena dapat membantu para pembaca memahami isi novel yang mengandung nilai-nilai kearifan lokal. Data yang dianalisis dalam penelitian ini ialah data kalimat yang mengandung gaya bahasa yang terdapat di dalam novel NLO. Data yang telah terkumpul itu kemudian dianalisis. Ada dua hal yang dianalisis dalam penelitian ini. Pertama, analisis jenis gaya bahasa dengan menggunakan teori Keraf. Kedua, analisis makna gaya bahasa dengan menggunakan teori Leech. Dari hasil analisis jenis gaya bahasa berdasarkan struktur kalimat diperoleh jenis gaya bahasa repetisi, sedangkan jika analisis itu didasarkan pada langsung tidaknya makna diperoleh sepuluh jenis gaya bahasa yang terbagi dalam gaya bahasa retoris dan kiasan. Gaya bahasa retoris dalam novel NLO diperoleh lima jenis gaya bahasa, ialah gaya bahasa jenis asonansi, elipsis, pleonasme, eufemismus, dan litotes. Demikian pula gaya bahasa kiasan juga diperoleh lima jenis, ialah gaya bahasa jenis metonimia, personifikasi, ironi, sinisme, dan sarkasme. Adapun dari hasil analisis makna diperoleh tujuh makna, ialah makna kemarahan, nasihat, perintah, larangan, saran, ancaman, dan makna kebimbangan.

Nalika Langite Obah (NLO) novel is a Javanese novel written by Esmiet in 1997. Esmiet's novel is interesting to study because it contains a variety of styles. The various styles of language in the NLO novel need to be known, because it can help the reader understand the contents of the novel containing the values of local wisdom. The data analyzed in this research is sentence data containing the language style contained in the NLO novel. The data has been collected and then analyzed. There are two things analyzed in this research. First, the analysis of the type of language style by using the Keraf theory. Second, the analysis of the meaning of language style using Leech theory. From the analysis of the type of language style based on the structure of the sentence obtained by the type of repetition language style, where as if the analysis is based on the directness of the meaning obtained ten types of language styles are divided into the style of rhetorical language and figurative. The rhetorical language of the NLO novel derives five types of language styles, namely the style of language of the type of asonansi, ellipsis, pleonasme, eufemismus, and litotes. Similarly, the figurative style of language also obtained five types, is the style of the type of metonimia, personification, irony, cynicism, and sarcasm. As for the results of meaning analysis obtained seven meanings, is the meaning of anger, advice, orders, restrictions, suggestions, threats, and meaning undecided.
