Motif Usaha Percobaan Pembunuhan Ishioka Teizaburo Oleh Ino Ryokichi Dalam Cerpen Kao Karya Matsumoto Seicho: Analisis Psikologi Murray

Skripsi ini merupakan penelitian ilmiah dengan objek material cerpen karya Matsumoto Seicho yang berjudul Kao dengan menggunakan pendekatan psikologi Murray. Cerpen Kao diterbitkan pada Oktober 1956. Cerpen ini menceritakan tentang tokoh utama Ino Ryokichi yang berusaha melakukan percobaan pembunuhan kepada Ishioka Teizaburo. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengungkap motif usaha percobaan pembunuhan Ishioka Teizaburo oleh Ino Ryokichi. Oleh karena itu, pertama-tama cerpen Kao dianalisis dengan menggunakan teori struktural, kemudian dianalisis dengan pendekatan psikologi Murray. Dari hasil penelitian, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa kebutuhan atau motif yang ada pada diri Ino Ryokichi adalah kebutuhan menghindari bahaya (harmavoidance) dan kebutuhan menyerang (agression). Motif menghindari bahaya ini muncul karena eksistensi atau keberadaan Ishioka Teizaburo dianggap Ino Ryokichi sebagai sesuatu yang membahayakan hidupnya. Keinginannya untuk menghindari bahaya ini memunculkan kebutuhan lain, yaitu kebutuhan menyerang (agression).

The subject of this research is psychology analysis of Kao, a short story written by Akutagawa Ryuunosuke with psychology approach of Murray. Kao published in in October 1956. This short story tells about a main character, Ino Ryokichi, who will commit attempted murder to Ishioka Teizaburo. The purpose of this research is to explain the murder attempt motive of Ishioka Teizaburo by Ino Ryokichi using a theory by Murray. Murray explained about the theory of needs or the theory of motive, where those needs commonly motivate human to act or to behave. First of all, Kao is analyzed with structural theory, then analyzed with psychology approach of Murray. The result shows, Ino Ryokichi�s murder attempt motive is harmavoidance need and agression need. Harmavoidance need arise because Ino Ryokichi feels threaten by Ishioka Teizaburo existance. His desire to avoid danger presenting other need, agression need.
