Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah : (1) Membuat peta skematik jalur bus Jakarta City Tour (2) Mengkaji tingkat pemahaman pengguna peta skematik jalur bus Jakarta City Tour. Metode yang digunakan untuk membuat peta skematik jalur bus Jakarta City Tour adalah dengan proses skematisasi yaitu proses mengubah peta konvensional menjadi peta skematik. Proses ini dilakukan dengan menyederhanakan jalur yang sudah ada dari existing map dengan mempertimbangkan beberapa hal yaitu relasi geometrik dan topologi jaringan. Peta skematik yang sudah jadi kemudian diujicobakan terhadap pengguna peta menggunakan proses wawancara untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman pengguna peta. Teknik pemilihan responden dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode accidental sampling yaitu cara pemilihan responden (sampling) yang dilakukan secara kebetulan di lapangan. Hasil dari uji tingkat pemahaman pengguna peta terhadap peta skematik Jakarta City Tour secara umum adalah baik. Nilai rata-rata hasil uji diatas 76%, maka dari itu hasil uji termasuk dalam kelas baik. Hasil uji keterbacaan simbol dan uji keterbacaan peta menunjukkan bahwa pengguna peta mampu untuk memahami dan menggunakan peta skematik Jakarta City Tour meskipun masih terdapat simbol yang dianggap kurang sesuai oleh pengguna peta.

The purpose of this study are: (1) Make a schematic map of Jakarta City Tour bus line (2) Assessing the level of understanding the schematic map of Jakarta City Tour bus line. Method used to make Jakarta City Tour schematic map is schematization process, which is the process of change from the conventional map to the schematic one. The process is done by simplifying existing route of existing map and by considering geometric relation and network topology. The interview process is conducted to find out the understanding level map users towards the new schematic map. The researcher uses accidental sampling method, which is a method to pick respondents that are accidently met by the researcher on the field, to have respondents. The results of the test level of understanding of the schematic map of the map of Jakarta City Tour in general is good. The average value of test results above 76%, and therefore the test results are included in either class. The test results symbol legibility and readability test map shows that the map user is able to understand and use the schematic map of Jakarta City Tour, although still there are symbols that are considered less suitable by the map.
