MANAJEMEN KARIR TENAGA KEPENDIDIKAN DI UNIVERSITAS GADJAH MADA

2017 | Tesis | S2 MANAJEMEN PENDIDIKAN TINGGIPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan Persepsi Dukungan Organisasional (perceived organizational support/POS) tenaga kependidikan; (2) mengidentifikasi faktor–faktor yang menjadi kendala praktek pengembangan karir untuk tenaga kependidikan, dan (3) mendeskripsikan persepsi tenaga kependidikan berkenaan hasil (outcome) dari POS, pada diri mereka di Universitas Gadjah Mada. POS berkorelasi secara positif terhadap outcome. Subyek penelitian adalah tenaga kependidikan di Universitas Gadjah Mada, dengan responden sebanyak 110. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara menggunakan kuesioner tertutup dan responden diminta memberikan opininya berkenaan praktik manajemen karir untuk tenaga kependidikan di UGM. Data kuantitatif dianalisa menggunakan tabulasi silang POS versus outcome, dan uji korelasi Pearson., Data kualitatif dianalisa dengan metode analisa kualitatif. Uji korelasi dilakukan dengan program SPSS 16 for Windows. Hasil analisa menujukkan bahwa mayoritas responden (>60%) memiliki persepsi POS positif dan hanya sangat sedikit (sekitar 2%) memiliki persepsi outcome negatif. Jadi, nilai POS negatif tidak selalu diikuti oleh nilai outcome negatif. Demikian halnya berkenaan analisa kualitatif, opini negatif berkenaan praktik manajemen karir, tidak selalu diikuti oleh outcome negatif. Uji korelasi menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi positif antara POS dan outcome dengan nilai R = 0,709, p value <0.01. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa, para tenaga kependidikan UGM mayoritas sangat loyal, berdedikasi, dan tetap bersikap positif terhadap pihak manajemen UGM.
This study was aimed to 1. Describe perceived organizational support for educational staff, 2.identifying factors that becomes obstacle in career development practice for educational staff, 3. Describe the perception of educational staff regarding the outcome of POS at UGM.POS has positive correlation. The subject of this research were 110 educational staff of UGM. Data were collected by interview using closed questionnaire and asking the respondent’s opinion on management career practice for educational staff at UGM. Quantitative data were collected by cross tabulation of POS versus outcome and Pearson correlation statistic test, meanwhile, qualitative data were analyzed by qualitative analysis method. Correlation test was performed by SPSS 16 program for windows. The result showed that the majority of respondents (60%) have positive perception on POS and only about 2% that have negative perception on outcome while ,in accordance to qualitative analysis, negative opinion on career management practice was not always followed by a negative outcome. Thus, negative value of POS was not always followed by negative value of an outcome. Correlation test result showed that there was positive correlation between POS and outcome by R=0.709, p value < 0,01. Thus, it can be concluded that the majority of educational staff at UGM were loyal, dedicated, and retained positive attitude toward the management of UGM.
