FAKTA-FAKTA CERITA DAN TEMA DALAM NOVEL TITIK NOL KARYA AGUSTINUS WIBOWO: ANALISIS STRUKTUR NOVEL MODEL ROBERT STANTON

Objek material dalam penelitian ini adalah novel Titik Nol karya Agustinus Wibowo. Objek formal dalam penelitian ini adalah teori struktur novel Robert Stanton. Penelitian ini akan menjawab tiga rumusan masalah. Pertama, menjawab fakta-fakta cerita yang meliputi alur, latar, dan tokoh dan penokohan dalam novel Titik Nol. Kedua, menjawab tema yang mendasari cerita dalam novel Titik Nol. Ketiga, menjawab hubungan antarunsur (fakta-fakta cerita dan tema) novel Titik Nol. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa alur dalam novel ini ialah alur maju. Hal ini terlihat dari peristiwa satu dengan peristiwa lainnya. Pergerakan alur dalam novel ini dipengaruhi oleh latar terjadinya peristiwa dan interaksi antartokoh. Latar dalam novel ini terbagi menjadi latar mayor dan minor. Tokohtokoh dalam Titik Nol dibedakan menjadi tokoh utama dan tokoh bawahan. Tokoh utama dalam novel ini adalah Agustinus. Tokoh bawahan dalam novel ini diklasifikasikan ke dalam dua bagian yaitu, tokoh bawahan utama dan tokoh bawahan sampingan. Tokoh bawahan utama dalam novel ini adalah Lam Li, Ibu Agustinus, Ayah Agustinus, Donchuk, Jorg, Rajja, Vinoj, Murbasshar, Dokter Sahab, Qutbi, dan Ahmadullah Salemi. Tokoh bawahan sampingan dalam novel ini berjumlah puluhan. Kehadiran tokoh bawahan dapat memperkuat karakter tokoh utama. Tokoh bawahan juga dapat membuat ketegangan dalam cerita. Dapat ditemukan tema novel Titik Nol adalah dedikasi seorang anak kepada keluarganya terlihat dari kesungguhannya dalam merawat ibu kandung yang sakit kanker. Dengan melakukan analisis struktural pada novel Tiik Nol maka dapat ditemukan adanya unsur-unsur yang saling berhubungan membentuk kesatuan dalam cerita.

The material object of this research is a novel entitled Titik Nol by Agustinus Wibowo. The formal object of this research is theory of novel’s structure by Robert Stanton. This research to aims to answer three research question. First, to find out the facts of the story which comprised of plot, setting, and characters. Second, to find out the underlying themes of the story. Three, to find out the relationship between elements in the novel Titik Nol. The results of this research showed the plot was told in a forward storyline. It could be conclude from the flow of one event to another in the story. The flow of storyline in this novel is influenced by background of event and interaction between characters. Setting in this novel divided into mayor setting and minor setting. Characters in Titik Nol is divied main characters and additional characters. The main character in this novel is Agustinus. The additional characters is divied main additional characters and side additional characters. The main additional characters in this novel are Lam Li, Ibu Agustinus, Ayah Agustinus, Donchuk, Jorg, Rajja, Vinoj, Murbasshar, Dokter Sahab, Qutbi, dan Ahmadullah Salemi. The are dozens of side additional characters in this novel. The presence of additional characters can strengthen the main character. The additional characters can aslo create suspense in the story. Could be found the theme of this novel is a child’s love to his family. From structural analysis, could be concluded that the elemets in this novel are coherently interrelated, thus creating an integrated story.
