GAMBARAN PENERIMAAN PASIEN TERHADAP PENGGUNAAN MASKER OLEH DOKTER DI POLI RAWAT JALAN PUSKESMAS JETIS I BANTUL

Pendahuluan : Penggunaan masker mempengaruhi komunikasi dokter dan pasien secara verbal dan nonverbal. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran penerimaan pasien terhadap penggunaan masker bedah oleh dokter dalam pendengaran, kepercayaan dan kedekatan pasien. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah desain kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Wawancara mendalam dilakukan pada 18 pasien rawat jalan. Data dianalisa secara content analysis. Hasil penerimaan pasien akan baik ketika pasien mempunyai konsep bahwa masker adalah seragam atau aturan untuk mencegah penularan penyakit. Penggunaan masker tidak berpengaruh pada kedekatan dan kepercayaan pasien walaupun menurunkan penerimaan pendengaran pasien terutama pasien lanjut usia. Tapi mereka tidak selalu menanyakan pada dokter apa yang tidak jelas. Beberapa pasien menganggap masker berguna untuk menahan bau pasien. Kesimpulan: Penggunaan masker oleh dokter dapat diterima pasien, tidak mempengaruhi kepercayaan dan kedekatan pasien walupun menurunkan penerimaan pendengaran pada pasien tertentu.

Background: The use of mask by doctor affects the verbal and nonverbal doctor patient communication. The aim of this research is focuses on outpatients acceptance overview against the use of mask by doctors in patientss hearing acceptance, trust and rapport. The Method is phenomenology qualitative design. In depth interview was done to 18 outpatients. Data was analyzed using content analysis. The results: There is good patient acceptance when patient have the concept of mask are as a rule or part of doctors uniforms or rules in avoiding disease transmission. It is not affecting the trust and rapport but decreasing patients hearing acceptance especially for elderly but patient do not always ask about that uncleary things. Some patient know mask is use to avoid patient odor. Conclusion: The use of mask by doctor is accept by the patient. Not affect on trust and rapport although decreasing patients hearing acceptance in some patient.
