HUBUNGAN ANTARA POLA ASUH OTORITATIF ORANG TUA DENGAN KETERAMPILAN SOSIAL PADA REMAJA YANG DIMODERATORI OLEH JENIS KELAMIN

Remaja merupakan masa transisi dari kanak-kanak menuju masa dewasa, dimana banyak terjadi perubahan dalam dirinya, salah satunya adalah perubahan psikososial. Keterampilan sosial memainkan peran yang penting dalam masa remaja. Ketika keterampilan sosial pada remaja rendah, maka akan berdampak negatif terhadap penyesuaian sosialnya dan identitas diri yang sedang dicarinya. Salah satu faktor penting yang berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan sosial adalah jenis kelamin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara persepsi terhadap pola asuh otoritatif orang tua dengan keterampilan sosial pada remaja yang dimoderatori oleh jenis kelamin. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 134 siswa SMA Negeri "X" Yogyakarta yang berusia 15-18 tahun. Hasil analisis menggunakan model regresi menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara persepsi terhadap pola asuh otoritatif dengan keterampilan sosial pada remaja (R = 0,371; p < 0,05). Lebih lanjut, hubungan antara pola asuh otoritatif dengan keterampilan sosial pada remaja dimoderatori oleh jenis kelamin. Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada hubungan antara pola asuh otoritatif dengan keterampilan sosial antara laki-laki (R = 0,088; p > 0,05) dan perempuan (R = 0,424; p < 0,05).

Adolescence is a period of transition from childhood to adulthood where a lot of changes are happened within an adolescent, and one of them is psychosocial change. The previous statement explains why social skills are playing an important role in adolescence. When an adolescent has poor social skills, it can give negative impacts to their social adjustment and self-identity which they are currently seeking. One of the important factors that determines social skills is gender.The purpose of this study is to discover the relationship (correlation) betweenauthoritative parenting style with social skills on adolescents that is moderatored by gender. Participants of this study consist of 134 students from "X" Senior High School (SHS) in Yogyakarta whose ages are ranged from 15 to 18 years. The result of analysis using resgression technique shows that there is a positive relationship (correlation) between perception of authoritative parenting style with social skills on adolescents (R = 0,371 with p < 0,05). Further, it is shown that the relationship between authoritative parenting style with social skills on adolescents is moderatored by gender. Research shows that there is a significant difference between male (R = 0,088; p > 0,05) and female (R = 0,424; p < 0,05) in regard to the relationship between authoritative parenting style and social skills.
