THE ANALYSIS OF ECOTOURISM PRINCIPLE ON METHODS OF WASTE DISPOSAL TO MINIMIZE NEGATIVE IMPACTS IN BALURAN NATIONAL PARK

Ekowisata saat ini mulai dilirik sebagai potensi untuk mengembangkan pariwisata di kawasan konservasi. Sudah seharusnya, ekowisata harus dilaksanakan sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip ekowisata yang berlaku sehingga dapat mencapai tujuan utamanya. Salah satu prinsip ekowisata menyebutkan bahwa ekowisata harus dapat mengurangi dampak negatif yang timbul dari kegiatan pariwisata, salah satu contohnya dengan metode pengolahan sampah. Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang penilaian implementasi di lapangan dengan prinsip ekowisata pada metode pengolahan sampah sehingga dapat mengurangi dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan. Penelitian ini fokus terhadap kesesuaian prinsip ekowisata dengan implementasi di lapangan yaitu pada lokasi Batangan, Bekol, dan Bama di Taman Nasional Baluran yang menjadi lokasi wisata. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deduktif dengan menyampaikan hipotesis berdasarkan teori yang akan dibuktikan dengan temuan lapangan untuk menguji hipotesis tersebut. Hasil penelitian adalah hipotesis diterima dengan temuan lapangan bahwa prinsip ekowisata belum diterapkan secara maksimal di taman nasional Baluran. Hal ini disebabkan oleh belum ada pelaksanaan secara disiplin di lapangan sehingga perlu diterapkannya peraturan terkait pengolahan sampah yang lebih efektif dan disiplin.

Today, ecotourism starts to be observed as potential for developing tourism in conservation site. Ecotourism must be implemented according to the applicable ecotourism principles in order to reach the main goal. One of the ecotourism principles mentioned that ecotourism should minimize the negative impacts of the tourism activities itself, especially on methods of waste disposal. This research is about the assessment of ecotourism principle implementation on methods of waste disposal to minimize negative impact caused by tourism activity in Baluran National Park. This research focuses on analyzing the assessment of ecotourism principle implementation on methods of waste disposal to minimize negative impact caused by tourism activity in Baluran National Park. The methods of waste disposal is specifying on waste which come from tourist visitation and food seller production that are include as tourism activity. The location of this research will be taken only in Batangan, Bekol, and Bama where tourism activity is focused on. This research is using deductive approach which present the hypothesis based on the theory, then tested by the obtained data. The result of this research is accepted hypothesis that the implementation on methods of waste disposal in Baluran National Park is not properly done yet. From six parameters to test the congruence of ecotourism principle implementation on methods of waste disposal to minimize negative impact caused by tourism activity in Baluran National Park, only two of them which already applied in the park and the four of them are not yet applied thoroughly. Therefore, it needs enforcement to discipline all the generations.
