Implementasi sistem ERP dapat memberikan kelebihan yang luar biasa dalam hal efektivitas dan efisiensi operasi bisnis pada perusahaan untuk dapat mempertahankan daya saing dari pada kompetitornya. Di sisi lain, proyek implementasi sistem ERP merupakan proyek yang berisiko tinggi dengan ancaman kehilangan daya saing atau bahkan kebangkrutan jika gagal dalam pelaksanaannya. Maka dari itu, perlu dilakukan analisis awal mengenai faktor-faktor kritis yang dapat meningkatkan keberhasilan dari proses implementasi sistem ERP. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui CSF serta tingkat kepentingannya dalam penerapan sebuah sistem ERP. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan studi pustaka dan studi lapangan. Studi pustaka bertujuan untuk mengetahui CSF dalam implementasi sistem ERP berdasarkan pada literature, artikel, buku dan penelitian terdahulu, lalu ditemukan 24 faktor kritis yang digunakan sebagai dasar pembuatan instrumen pengukuran. Setelah itu, studi lapangan dilakukan dengan terjun langsung ke objek penelitian, yakni PT Telkomsel Regional Jateng & DIY. Dari hasil pembahasan penelitian, 24 CSF tersebut diperingkatkan sesuai dengan tingkat kepentingan masing-masing faktor. Terdapat salah satu faktor yang memiliki tingkat kepentingan yang paling tinggi menurut persepsi dari para responden, yakni data management, analysis, and conversion.

ERP system implementation can provide tremendous advantages in effectiveness and efficiency of business operations in the company to maintain the competitiveness among their competitors. On the other hand, ERP system implementation is high risk projects with the threat of a loss of competitiveness or even bankruptcy if it fails in its execution. Therefore, it is necessary to do a preliminary analysis of the critical factors that can enhance the success of the ERP implementation process. This study aims to determine the CSF and their importance in the ERP implementation. This research was conducted with the literature study and field study. Literature study is to determine the CSF in the ERP implementation based on literature, articles, books and previous research, then 24 critical factors were discovered and used as the basis for measuring instruments. After that, the field study done by going directly to the object of study, PT Telkomsel Central Java and Yogyakarta Region. From the discussion of research, these 24 CSFs were ranked according to the level of importance of each factor. There is one factor that has the highest level of importance according to the perception of the respondents, it is data management, analysis, and conversion.
