Tugas Akhir ini menjelaskan tentang pengelolaan arsip statis di Arsip Universitas Gadjah Mada. Adapun tujuan Tugas Akhir ini adalah untuk mengetahui sistem pengelolaan arsip statis mulai dari proses akuisisi sampai dengan layanan arsip. Tujuan pengelolaan arsip statis selain sebagai upaya pelestarian memori kolektif bangsa juga bertujuan untuk meningkatkan layanan kepada pengguna arsip sehingga arsip dapat dimanfaatkan secara maksimal. Pengumpulan data melalui tiga metode, yaitu metode yang pertama adalah studi pustaka. Studi pustaka yaitu pendekatan yang dilakukan dengan cara mengumpulkan data dari sumber pustaka yang berkaitan dengan penyusunan Tugas Akhir. Metode yang kedua adalah observasi yaitu pendekatan yang dilakukan dengan cara melakukan pengamatan secara langsung terhadap objek yang akan diteliti. Metode terakhir adalah wawancara secara langsung kepada responden yang bersangkutan dan berkompeten untuk mendapatkan informasi guna melengkapi informasi serta memperjelas hasil observasi. Kesimpulan utama dari Tugas Akhir ini adalah proses pengelolaan arsip statis di Arsip Universitas Gadjah Mada yang dilakukan oleh para arsiparis di Arsip Universitas Gadjah Mada sudah berjalan dengan baik sesuai prosedur manajemen arsip statis, meskipun dalam pelaksanaannya ada beberapa kendala dan keterbatasan yang dihadapi sehingga belum tercapai secara maksimal.

This report describes the management of the archives at the University Archives. The purpose of this final assignment is to determine the archives management from the acquisition until the archives access. Archival management more interesting than others nation's collective memory preservation efforts also aim to improve the service to the user archive so the archive can be fully utilized. The collection of data through three methods, the first method is literature. Book study approach taken by collecting data from literature sources related to the preparation of the final report. The second method is the observation that the approach taken by way of direct observation of the object to be studied. The latter method is the direct interview to the respondents concerned and competent to obtain information in order to complete the information and clarify the results of observation. The main conclusion of this final report is the process of managing the archives at the University Archive undertaken by archivists at the University Archive is already well underway appropriate management procedures archives, although in practice there are some obstacles and constraints that have not been achieved optimal.
