PENGEMBANGAN PROTOTIPE SISTEM INFORMASI PENILAIAN KINERJA DOSEN DI POLTEKKES KEMENKES BENGKULU

Latar Belakang : Penilaian kinerja tidak hanya diperlukan dan dilaksanakan di dunia bisnis tetapi juga dilakukan didalam dunia pendidikan. Betapa pengukuran kinerja sangat penting dalam pengelolaan Perguruan Tinggi atau dunia pendidikan.Pembenahan sistem informasi dan administrasi khususnya untuk perguruan tinggi sangatlah penting, penilaian kinerja dosen sampai saat ini di Poltekkes Kemenkes Bengkulu masih menggunakan sistim informasi yang bersifat manual yang dilaksanakan oleh program studi melalui urusan akademik dan kemahasiswaan masih menggunakan Program Microsoft Excel dan Word, oleh karena itu hasil yang diharapkan belum optimal seperti yang diharapkan, kendala yang sering dihadapi antara lain waktu dan proses penilaian itu membutuhkan waktu dan tenaga yang lebih sehingga hal tersebut dapat menghambat pelaksanaan dan kelancaran. Tujuan : Penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan penilaian Kinerja Dosen di Poltekkes Kemenkes Bengkulu berbasis sistem informasi. Metode Penelitian: Peneltian ini dilakukan di Poltekkes Kemenkes Bengkulu, penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan tahapan action research. Data dan informasi diperoleh dari wawancara, observasi dan FGD. Observasi dilakukan di bagian mutu, kemahasiswaan, akademik untuk mempelajari proses tahapan penilaian kinerja dosen. Hasilnya dijadikan bahan untuk pengembangan prototipe sistem informasi penilaian kinerja dosen. pada tahap akhir akan diadakan ujicoba terhadap prototipe yang sudah dibuat. Wawancara dilakukan terhadap 33 responden. Hasil: Penilaian kinerja dosen meliputi penilaian oleh mahasiswa, teman sejawat, dan atasan langsung dari dosen. Sistem informasi penilaian kinerja dosen berbasis web telah dikembangkan di Poltekkes Kemenkes Bengkulu. Secara umum pengguna puas terhadap prototipe yang telah dikembangkan.

Background: The performance evaluation is not only necessary and carried out in the business world but also be done in the world of education. A performance measurement is very important in the management of universities or higher education. Revamping and administrative information systems, especially for college is important, the assessment of faculty performance to date at the Polytechnic of the Ministry of Health Bengkulu still use manual information systems that are implemented by program of study through academic affairs and student still use Microsoft Excel and Word programs, therefore the expected results have not been optimal as expected, the obstacles often faced by, among others, the time and the assessment process that takes time and more power so that it can hinder the implementation and smooth operation. Objective: The purpose of this study was to develop an information-based lecturer assessment at Poltekes Kemenkes Bengkulu. Methods: This study conducted in Poltekes Kemenkes Bengkulu, a qualitative study using action research approach. Data and information obtained from interviews, observation and FGD. The results are used as material for the development of information system prototype. At the final stage will be held trials on a prototype that has been made. Interviews were conducted with 33 respondents. Results: The user of lecturer assessment information system are students, peers, and direct supervisor of the lecturers. The web based information system has been developed in Poltekes Kemenkes Bengkulu. In general, users satisfied with the prototype has been developed.
