Persepsi Guru SMA Negeri 47 Jakarta Terhadap Sekolah Favorit Pasca Diberlakukannya Sistem Zonasi

Penerapan sistem zonasi pada Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru (PPDB) di tingkat Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) sudah memasuki tahun ke-4 nya, akan tetapi hingga saat ini sistem zonasi masih banyak menuai polemik di masyarakat termasuk kalangan guru. Keberadaan guru sebagai figur sentral dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan menjadikan guru sebagai sosok yang dibutuhkan untuk melancarkan keberhasilan capaian peserta didik. Diterapkannya sistem zonasi dalam penerimaan peserta didik baru menimbulkan banyak pro dan kontra di kalangan guru khususnya dalam hal perbedaan input, proses, dan output dalam manejemen pendidikan suatu sekolah. Hal tersebut tercermin dari persepsi guru yang beragam terhadap input, proses, dan output sebelum dan saat pelaksanaan sistem zonasi. Disatu sisi sistem zonasi memang mampu menciptakan keberagaman kualitas peserta didik di sekolah negeri, namun di sisi lain sistem zonasi belum sepenuhnya berhasil untuk mewujudkan pemerataan pendidikan seperti yang diharapkan. Hal tersebut dikarenakan isu sekolah favorit yang dianggap oleh sebagian besar orang tua sebagai jaminan untuk kualitas dan masa depan anak mereka yang lebih baik belum sepenuhnya hilang. Studi ini berusaha untuk mendalami persepsi guru terhadap sekolah favorit pasca diberlakukan sistem zonasi melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode fenomenologi.

The implementation of the zoning system on the Admission of New Students (PPDB) at the High School (SMA) level has entered its 4th year. Nevertheless, the zoning system is still reaping many polemics in the community, including among teachers. The existence of teachers as central figures in the implementation of education makes teachers the figure needed to smooth the success of student achievements. The applications of the zoning system in the admission of new students raise many pros and cons among teachers, especially in terms of differences in inputs, processes, and outputs in the educational management of a school. Then this is reflected in teachers�¢ï¿½ï¿½ diverse perceptions of inputs, processes, and outputs before and during the implementation of the zoning system. The zoning system is quite able to create diversity in the quality of students in public schools, but at the same time, the zoning system has not been entirely successful in realizing the equal distribution of education as expected. This happened because most parents still think that favorite school is guaranteed for education quality and a better future for their children. This study aims to explore teachers' perceptions of favorite schools after the zoning system is implemented through a qualitative approach using phenomenological methods.
